4.7 Acorns: Invest For Your Future is a unique investment app that simplifies the process of saving and investing for users of all experience levels. Here are some of its standout features:
As someone who is always on the go, I found myself using the Acorns app in various scenarios throughout my daily life. For instance, during my morning coffee run, I would make a purchase at my favorite café. The moment I paid, I received a notification from Acorns informing me that my purchase had been rounded up, and the spare change was automatically invested. It felt rewarding to know that even my small daily expenses were contributing to my financial future.
Another scenario was when I was shopping for groceries. I often forget to set aside money for savings, but with Acorns, I didn’t have to think about it. Each time I swiped my card, I was reminded that my purchases were not just expenses but also opportunities to invest. This seamless integration into my daily spending made saving feel less like a chore and more like a natural part of my routine.
The user interface of Acorns is clean and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a dashboard that displayed my investment performance, recent transactions, and my total savings. The workflow is straightforward; I can quickly access my portfolio, view my round-ups, and check my Found Money rewards with just a few taps. The app's performance is smooth, with minimal loading times, which is crucial for someone like me who values efficiency.
Overall, my experience with Acorns has been overwhelmingly positive. The app not only simplifies the investment process but also educates users about their financial health. I appreciate the insights and tips provided within the app, which have helped me become more financially literate over time.
Acorns offers a straightforward pricing structure with three tiers: Lite, Personal, and Family. The Lite plan starts at just $1 per month, which is incredibly affordable for anyone looking to dip their toes into investing. The Personal plan, at $3 per month, includes additional features like retirement accounts, while the Family plan, at $5 per month, allows you to invest for your children as well. I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the value I receive from the app.
Acorns regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s performance and additional educational resources that have been added over time. The customer support is also commendable; I reached out with a question about my account, and the response was prompt and helpful. They offer support through various channels, including email and in-app messaging, making it easy to get assistance when needed.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to financial apps. Acorns is available on both the App Store and Google Play, and it has received positive reviews regarding its security measures. The app uses bank-level encryption to protect personal and financial information, which gives me confidence in using it for my investments.
When registering, Acorns requires basic personal data, including your name, email, and Social Security number, which is standard for financial services. I appreciate that they are transparent about how this information is used and stored. Additionally, Acorns does not display ads within the app, which is a relief as it minimizes tracking behavior and enhances the overall user experience. Overall, I feel secure using Acorns, knowing that my data is protected and that I can focus on growing my investments without unnecessary distractions.

It's a decent app for what you get. The gold plan offers very little compared to Robinhood (and it's more expensive), so if I had to do it over, Id choose them. very little stock and etf options all things considered. other apps just blow it out of the water with choices and control. the customer service takes forever and calls are, of course, outsourced to people who have hardly any control over what happens. rarely, are complicated issues resolved. good for set it and forget it invest

The round ups are really inconsistent. I linked my account and activated round ups and the weekly investment but the only consistent debit was the investment. When I checked on the app it showed it hadn't updated activity in 5 months. I keep having to unlink and relink my account for the round ups to activate. If this continues I'll just go back to a normal savings since this isn't really worth it otherwise. It's supposed to be an automatic thing I shouldn't have to constantly check.

Roundups keep unlinking This time it's worse than ever. My bank information is correct, as shows it loaded in the app. However, it says I can't use roundups on the account since it hasn't been updated since Dec of 1969. Odd. When I go to resubmit my banking info it wants to attach all my other accounts to Acorns. Which I. Do. Not. Want. Just my checking like it has been. Customer service is no help. It's either AI, or someone that can't comprehend what I'm asking. Seems like a scam now.

At first I enjoyed the app it worked as expected, then I had taken a break from using it because I had other expenses to take care of. Recently I reactivated my account made a investment a few times and without warning those investments kicked back, I reached out to support was told to wait 24-48 hours and yet 3 weeks later no updates, they have no problem charging the monthly fee for something that's not working for me anymore and not getting any help from "support" I'm ending my subscript

They have promotions where you can invite friends and earn a changing amount of money. I got three friends to sign up using my link with no problems. When the fourth friend signed up by clicking my link, despite being able to see that she was a new user who used my link, they claimed there was an issue connecting our accounts. I never received the promised promotion and I no longer trust this app. Other than the lying about their promotions, the app seems to function as advertised.
