4.4 Albert: Budgeting and Banking is not just another financial app; it’s a comprehensive tool designed to help users manage their money effectively. Here are some of its standout features:
As someone who juggles multiple financial responsibilities, I found myself constantly looking for a way to streamline my budgeting process. One of the most significant scenarios where I use Albert is during my monthly budgeting sessions. Every month, I sit down with my bills and expenses, and Albert helps me visualize where my money is going. I can quickly see my spending categories and adjust my budget accordingly. Additionally, when I plan a trip, I use the app to set a travel budget, ensuring I don’t overspend while still enjoying my vacation.
The user interface of Albert is sleek and user-friendly, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my financial health at a glance. The workflow is intuitive; I can easily access my savings, budget, and investment options with just a few taps. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any lag, which is crucial when I’m in a hurry. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The app not only helps me manage my finances but also empowers me to make informed decisions about my money.
Albert offers a free version that provides essential budgeting and savings features. However, for those looking for more advanced tools, there’s a subscription option called Albert Genius, which costs $4 per month. This subscription unlocks personalized financial advice and additional features, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about their financial health.
Albert is regularly updated with new features and improvements, which shows the developers' commitment to enhancing user experience. Whenever I have questions or encounter issues, the customer support team is responsive and helpful. They offer support through in-app messaging, which I found to be efficient and user-friendly. Overall, I feel supported as a user, knowing that help is just a message away.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to financial apps. Albert is available on both the App Store and Google Play, and it has received positive reviews regarding its security measures. During registration, I was required to provide personal information, including my name, email, and financial details, which is standard for banking apps. However, I appreciate that Albert uses bank-level encryption to protect my data.
One concern I had was about ads and tracking behavior. Albert does not bombard users with ads, which is refreshing. Instead, it focuses on providing a seamless user experience. The app does collect some data to personalize the experience, but it is transparent about this in its privacy policy. Overall, I feel confident using Albert, knowing that my financial information is secure and that my privacy is respected.

I always save my reviews for the last day. I have been using Albert for years and while you may find the advance to be helpful at first, getting out of the app is nearly impossible. The app tells you to clean out all of your accounts before you can close them. They take up to 6 days to do so. Then, in the meantime, they keep taking more money to those old accounts despite saying no. I'm on my 3rd week of trying to cancel my acct. At this point I have no more patience. Very shady app! They make it near impossible to cancel your membership, so you keep getting charged. I tried several times to cancel and got charged a monthly fee while waiting. They are taking advantage of people who are already struggling financially. Stay away from this app. Edit: Regarding the developer's response, I've already closed my account, but not before I was charged once more.

This was incredibly hard to cancel! I don't recommend. So I didn't need the service much and it was so hard to cancel. The cancel button isn't easy to find. It's in the help center under deactivate and cancel. But if you search that in the search bard, it will just tellnyou how to find it. It wont give you the option. Then you need to enter your ssn, next, enter the last 4 of your albert card which was hard to find. Then your balance must be at zero which took days ti transfer things over.

WARNING!!! Horrible! they trap you, take different amounts of money from your account each month or multiple times a month and make it impossible for you to cancel your account! DOWNRIGHT SHAMEFUL! i thought I was good to go when they no longer had connection with my bank account.Unfortunately, that's not the case. They are still taking different amounts of money multiple times a month from me.

I would not recommend using this service at all. Customer support is truly a nightmare. It's over text messaging which would be ok if the customer service department cared about customers in the slightest. They don't. I'm just a regular guy and had charges for an app I didn't use or recognize so I requested a dispute. Once my charge was refunded, they immediately suspended my account stating there was suspicious activity on it, and I have done absolutely nothing to warrant that whatsoever.
