4.8 As a puzzle enthusiast, I often find myself looking for games that challenge my mind while providing a fun escape from daily life. "Baba Is You" has become my go-to app during my commute. I usually play it on the subway, where I can dive into a level or two while waiting for my stop. The beauty of this game is that each level is self-contained, allowing me to pick up and put down the game without losing my place. I also enjoy playing it during my lunch breaks, where I can engage in a quick puzzle session to recharge my brain before heading back to work.
The user interface of "Baba Is You" is refreshingly straightforward. The main menu is easy to navigate, and the level selection screen is well-organized. Each level is presented with a brief description, which helps in understanding the objective before diving in. The gameplay itself is smooth, with responsive controls that make moving Baba and the blocks feel intuitive. I never experienced any lag, even during the more complex levels with multiple elements on the screen. Overall, the experience is engaging and satisfying, as I often find myself lost in thought, trying to devise the best strategy to solve each puzzle.
"Baba Is You" is reasonably priced for the amount of content it offers. Available for a one-time purchase, it provides access to all the levels and features without any hidden fees or in-app purchases. This straightforward pricing model is refreshing in a market often filled with freemium games that can become costly over time. I felt that the price was justified given the hours of entertainment and mental stimulation I received.
The developers of "Baba Is You" are committed to enhancing the user experience through regular updates. I’ve noticed several patches that not only fix minor bugs but also introduce new levels and features based on community feedback. The support team is responsive, and I appreciate their active presence on social media, where they engage with players and share tips. This level of communication makes me feel valued as a player and part of a larger community.
When it comes to security and privacy, "Baba Is You" is a trustworthy choice for American users. The game is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards of these platforms. There are no registration requirements, which means you can jump right into the game without providing personal data. This is a significant plus for privacy-conscious users like myself.
Additionally, "Baba Is You" does not feature intrusive ads or tracking behavior, allowing for an uninterrupted gaming experience. I appreciate that the developers have prioritized user privacy, making it easy to enjoy the game without worrying about data collection or targeted advertising. Overall, I feel secure while playing, knowing that my personal information is not at risk.

This is truly a unique game. Very simple rules, no timer, just an objective and a "toolbox" of bendable rules to reach it. It's almost like a programming language in that sense... The game has a certain "syntax" for rule bending and that makes it intellectually stimulating, unlike endless matching or puzzle games with no clear objective other than to guess what the dev was thinking. Also, few if any ads. I am hard person to please, and I love this game. I'm hooked on it! 😊😎

One of the most inventive games I have ever played. Any puzzle fan, especially if you have any background in logic, systems or programming, should play this game. It will challenge and thrill you in ways that are so far outside the box that it's difficult to describe. Less than 24 hours after buying it here I also bought it on the Switch for my kids. They love it too!

This is a game that you know the game developer put a lot of heart and thought into. It combines a lot of clever elements into a single puzzle experience, and does it in such a creative way, it will both frustrate you, but also make you smile when you figure the puzzles out. Best part... almost every puzzle has multiple ways to solve it, and in many ways, encourages you to push the limits. If a sequel ever gets made, I'm gladly buying it. I just hope it comes with a level maker.

Great game, very challenging and captivating, and I like that now I can play it anywhere. Removing three stars because 1. some of the tiles are very hard to see, even in "high contrast" mode, and, more importantly, 2. It is impossible to backup game progress data without rooting the phone, causing total loss of progress when changing phones. I'm about to lose 152 solved levels on which I spent quite a bit of time. Developer doesn't seem to care. Very annoying.

Each area has around 10 puzzles and you're able to "pass" the area by completing around half of them. This is very helpful since a lot of the puzzles appear impossible at first glance. Each area has a theme/rule/mechanic that is introduced and elaborated upon as you progress so when you get stuck you can learn by solving an adjacent level. The game has good music, good controls, and good puzzles using a variety of different mechanics.
