4.6 The Canon PRINT app is a powerful tool that enhances the printing experience for Canon printer users. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it allows for seamless printing and scanning from mobile devices. Here are some of the core features that stand out:
As a freelance graphic designer, I often find myself in situations where I need to print high-quality images or documents quickly. One of my favorite scenarios is when I’m working on a project late at night and realize I need to print out a draft for a client meeting the next day. Instead of waiting until morning, I can simply pull out my phone, open the Canon PRINT app, and send the document to my printer. The convenience of being able to print from anywhere in my home is invaluable, especially when deadlines are looming.
Another scenario is when I’m hosting a family gathering. I love to create personalized photo collages as decorations. Using the Canon PRINT app, I can select photos from my phone, edit them, and print them out in various sizes. It’s a fun way to share memories and add a personal touch to our gatherings.
The user interface of the Canon PRINT app is intuitive and straightforward. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that makes navigation a breeze. The main features are easily accessible, and I appreciate how quickly I can switch between printing and scanning modes. The workflow is smooth; for instance, selecting a photo to print takes just a few taps, and I can adjust settings like paper size and print quality without any hassle.
Performance-wise, the app is reliable. I’ve experienced minimal lag, and the print jobs are processed quickly. The quality of the prints is impressive, with vibrant colors and sharp details, which is crucial for my design work. Overall, using the Canon PRINT app has significantly enhanced my productivity and made printing a more enjoyable experience.
The Canon PRINT app is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users. There are no hidden fees or subscriptions required to access its core features. However, users should keep in mind that printing costs will depend on the type of printer and ink used. Canon offers various ink cartridges, and while they can be a bit pricey, the quality of the prints justifies the investment.
Canon regularly updates the PRINT app to enhance functionality and fix any bugs. I’ve noticed improvements in speed and additional features with each update, which shows that Canon is committed to providing a great user experience. If I ever encounter issues, their customer support is responsive and helpful. I appreciate that they offer various support channels, including online resources and direct customer service, making it easy to get assistance when needed.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, including Canon PRINT. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic information, but I appreciated that the app does not ask for excessive personal data, which can often be a red flag.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I’ve noticed that the Canon PRINT app is relatively free of intrusive advertisements. It does not seem to track my usage excessively, which is a relief. Canon has a privacy policy in place that outlines how they handle user data, and I feel confident that my information is secure while using the app. Overall, I believe Canon has taken the necessary steps to ensure user privacy and security, making the app a trustworthy choice for printing needs.

I've never had a more useless app in my life. I have to reconnect to the printer a MINIMUM of 3 times every time I print something, and it's incapable of scanning. My printer just scanned the same document NINE times while my phones just showed a loading screen and never received the document. I could go on for ages, but the point is: Don't buy a canon printer and don't use this app.

I'm trying to scan several documents. It takes forever (3-6 minutes!) to upload to my screen. I tried switching it to PDF instead of JPEG, but it didn't help anything. And it does scan about 30 seconds in (you can hear it initiate), but then waiting for the image? WAY too long. In fact- by the time you get to document number 7 or 8? The connection just times out on the printer side and it shuts off.🙄 It wasn't like this before. I'm not sure what changed, but this is almost unusable.

Most frustrating, not so "easy-connect" app! Every time I need to connect my printer to network is an exercise in absolute aggravation because the instructions aren't as easy to follow nor do they work as stated when followed! Don't plan on buying another Canon product if this is their idea of "easy"!

This app sucks and do not buy a Canon printer of any kind if you want to print from android. The printers are fine but they all use this very poor software driver app, which over 9 years of problems and having to print from my computer I'll NEVER buy Canon again. And I'm in IT for 40 years hands on technical and have had 3 diff printers same issue. It's this poorly developed app! Further any other print app you buy ends up having to use this driver app so don't bother. What a waste of money.

Super frustrated. Trying to print a document from my Galaxy S25 Ultra and for whatever reason, the printer keeps default printing from the back tray instead of the cassette. No easy way to switch this on a phone apparently. I have to send my docs to my computer and print them from there. If I missed something, please let me know. also, when I go to smartphone settings in this app, it tells me to make sure my phone is connected to wifi, when it clearly already is.
