As someone who juggles a busy schedule, I often find myself looking for ways to incorporate chess into my daily routine. I typically use the "Chess - Play and Learn Online" app during my commute or while waiting for appointments. The app's flexibility allows me to engage in quick matches or dive into a lesson whenever I have a few spare minutes. For example, just last week, I was waiting for a friend at a café and managed to squeeze in a 10-minute game against a player from another country. It was a thrilling experience that made the wait feel productive and enjoyable.
The user interface of "Chess - Play and Learn Online" is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean layout that showcases my current games, lessons, and puzzles. The workflow is seamless; I can easily switch between playing a game, reviewing a lesson, or checking my daily puzzles without any hiccups. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly, with minimal lag during online matches, which is crucial for maintaining the flow of the game. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as the app not only enhances my chess skills but also provides a fun and engaging platform to connect with others.
"Chess - Play and Learn Online" offers a free version that provides access to a substantial amount of content, including lessons and puzzles. However, for those looking to unlock the full potential of the app, a premium subscription is available. The premium version includes advanced features like unlimited access to lessons, in-depth game analysis, and ad-free gameplay. I opted for the premium subscription, and I can confidently say that the investment has significantly enhanced my learning experience.
The developers of "Chess - Play and Learn Online" are committed to providing regular updates, which often include new features, lessons, and bug fixes. I appreciate how the app evolves to meet user needs, and I’ve noticed improvements in performance and usability with each update. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful; I once encountered a minor issue with my account, and they resolved it promptly, ensuring I could continue enjoying the app without interruption.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and "Chess - Play and Learn Online" takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, but the app clearly outlines its privacy policy, detailing how my data is used and protected.
Importantly, the app does not bombard users with intrusive ads, which is a significant plus for me. Instead, it offers a clean experience, allowing me to focus on my games and lessons without distractions. While the app does track some user behavior to enhance the experience, it is done transparently, and I feel confident that my data is handled responsibly. Overall, I have no major concerns regarding security or privacy while using "Chess - Play and Learn Online," making it a trustworthy choice for chess enthusiasts.

Most popular chess app, but I have issues. Sub price, drop that to like $2 and Id pay, but its the price of a netflix sub. Puzzles, you get 3 a day as free. takes way too long to get out of the "find mate in 1-2 moves" Analysis of games, only one a day? Then the ads pop up a lot lately, and constantly telling you to get the overpriced premium. My advice? Theres another app that gives you all this for free. With plenty of community guides for learning.

I've been using chess for a getting close to a year now and have zero complaints. This is by far the best app for chess. When it comes down to special features the app gives you without the membership it's super amazing, all though I would love if you could have a little bit more than 3 puzzles a day to practice more. The learning aspects in the app are wonderful compared to others, I have the ability to have a coach if my choosing review my game after i play a good or bad game. Great game.

I was new to chess and now I have an almost 700 day streak. Best game ever. I love that it's free, no ads, and you can play with people all across the globe. Premium has also felt worth the price as it really helps to analyze every game and learn from lessons and puzzles. Big fan. Don't change!

Update : I submitted for refund and was only given a partial refund. The APP still stole from me. Original below. The billing is predatory. The 'Free Trial' system automatically signs you up for a full year subscription at the most expensive tier. You are not given notice, nor does it ask for positive confirmation of billing. I have not received a refund for a charge that I did not sign up for.

I like how this app is welcoming to new players like me, and the coach is very helpful with explaining mistakes, and the absence of advertisements. But sometimes when I do custom puzzles I make the right move but it says I got it wrong, and I also don't appreciate the meager amount of puzzles and lessons I can do before I am asked to pay for a subscription
