4.0 The CIBC Mobile Banking® app is a powerful tool designed to simplify your banking experience. With a range of features that cater to everyday banking needs, it stands out as a reliable companion for managing finances on the go. Here are some of its core features:
As a busy professional, I rely heavily on the CIBC Mobile Banking® app for my daily financial tasks. One of my favorite scenarios is during my morning commute. While waiting for the train, I can quickly check my account balances and recent transactions. This helps me plan my day and make informed spending decisions. Additionally, I often use the app to transfer money to my friends when we go out for dinner. Instead of fumbling with cash or waiting for someone to pay me back, I can send them their share instantly, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free.
The user interface of the CIBC Mobile Banking® app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my account balances prominently. Navigating through the app is straightforward; I can easily access features like transfers, bill payments, and check deposits with just a few taps. The performance is impressive, with quick load times and minimal lag, even during peak hours. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The app not only meets my banking needs but also enhances my financial management with its efficient features.
The CIBC Mobile Banking® app is free to download and use for CIBC account holders. There are no hidden fees associated with using the app for standard banking services, which is a significant advantage. However, it’s essential to be aware of any fees related to specific transactions, such as international transfers or overdrafts, which may apply based on your account type.
CIBC regularly updates the app to enhance functionality and security. I appreciate that they listen to user feedback and implement changes that improve the overall experience. Customer support is readily available through the app, allowing me to reach out for assistance if I encounter any issues. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, which adds to my confidence in using the app for my banking needs.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to banking apps. The CIBC Mobile Banking® app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide personal information, including my Social Security number and banking details, which is standard for financial apps. However, I felt reassured by the app's robust security measures, including two-factor authentication and encryption protocols.
Importantly, I noticed that the app does not bombard me with ads or engage in excessive tracking behavior. This is a significant plus, as it allows me to focus on my banking tasks without distractions. Overall, I feel confident in the security and privacy measures implemented by CIBC, making the app a trustworthy choice for managing my finances.

App does not pull up when you search CIBC on your search bar. Must either put on your home page or look through your complete app folder to open it. Very frustrating setting up Google Pay. Because you have to download app and find in app link to set up Google Pay. Trying to set up direct through Google Pay would not work. Also app will not allow me to register a Pixel 2 for notifications. Bummer. Took almost 2 hours to figure all this out. Also, app will not permit autofill of login.

The CIBC app designers tend to go backward rather than ever making improvements. Now the nav has been moved to the bottom and the only particularly helpful link is called "Move Money". It's there you find the links to bill payments or transfers. The Advice and More links are just junk marketing pages that are slow to load. I wish the app would focus more on what you want to do, rather than weird attempts to start a conversation you're not interested in having.

Pros - App works and functionally and no issues - UI is modern and looks good Cons - Updates to UI are too frequent to the point where it can lose you and you have to go looking for things. They had a great design a couple years ago but they keep changing things too much. It seems like the most recent design makes things more complicated rather than easy

When searching my transactions "Keyword searches are limited to a 6-month date range." It's 2026, this should not be limited. I should be able to search every single transaction available to me at once. I'm expecting CIBC to give me some BS reply. Do better, CIBC. This is a simple thing to fix. EDIT: And when you restrict the search to 6 months, it gives you the same error message!!!! You need to waste your time manually setting it to 6 months less a day!! This is asinine app design.

My Dad and me using this app and we can't login in the app for the second week already. Can't check our balances, can't manage our transactions at all. The app just shows white screen with the cibc logo and not loading 😑. We tried to restart our phones, reinstall the app, clear app cache, and nothing helps. It happens constantly on each device and different locations. Very frustrated with this app. It is very inconvenient with a lot of constant adds and constant technical issues.
