Features & Highlights

  • Roguelike Gameplay: "Dead Cells" offers a unique blend of roguelike and Metroidvania elements, ensuring that no two runs are ever the same. Each time you play, you’ll encounter different enemies, weapons, and environments, keeping the experience fresh and exciting. For instance, I once embarked on a run where I found a powerful bow early on, which completely changed my strategy and allowed me to tackle enemies from a distance, making for a thrilling experience.
  • Dynamic Combat System: The combat in "Dead Cells" is fluid and responsive, allowing for a variety of playstyles. Whether you prefer to go in swinging with melee weapons or take a more strategic approach with ranged attacks, the game accommodates your preferences. I remember a particularly intense moment where I had to dodge and weave through a swarm of enemies, using a combination of a sword and a shield to survive, which made me feel like a true warrior.
  • Stunning Visuals and Soundtrack: The pixel art graphics are beautifully crafted, and the soundtrack perfectly complements the fast-paced action. The vibrant colors and detailed environments draw you in, making each level a visual treat. I often found myself pausing just to admire the scenery before diving back into the fray, which speaks volumes about the game's artistic direction.
  • Extensive Customization: Players can customize their character with a wide array of weapons, skills, and upgrades. This feature allows for a personalized gaming experience, as you can tailor your character to fit your playstyle. During one of my runs, I decided to focus on agility and speed, which allowed me to zip through levels and avoid damage, showcasing how customization can significantly impact gameplay.

one of the greatest games ever. controls are easy to use, dozens of weapons to choose from, each biome is unique looking with different enough enemies. The beginning is frustrating as you'll die dozens of times before you get the gist of it. As you play more you'll eventually become skilled enough to advance in the game. the humor in this is also underrated.

so I've been playing this game for about four months and it's been really fun, but it just doesn't explain a lot of things like I just figured out yesterday that when you find a power scroll (upgrade) your only supposed to upgrade one category out of three: brutality, tactics, or survival and your ONLY supposed to upgrade and choose weapons within that section (it helps that every item has a color that aligns with that category) so if any of you are deciding on getting this game look into it....

I love the game, it's so fun to play and trying to complete it has been amazing, my only problem is that for about 2 weeks I haven't been able to play because it keeps crashing when I press "play" I have the latest update, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game but it just keeps crashing,:/ Seems like it's been fixed now!😄

This is a really good game. 2d with a lot of cool af weapons and costumes. It is challenging in a very rewarding way. You run, you slash, you smash, you die. You start over but better. I'm really impressed. More formatting options would be nice. My hands hurt... update. some weird bugs. there is one where the screen doesn't follow character, the other causes a bright colorful flash that obscures the play field. still hella fun

Dead Cells is a fantastic game with a fast pace and tight controls that compliment the pace. Dead Cells the mobile port is an alright game with controls that arent quite what they need to be. Worth picking up if you have an external gamepad for your device, but if not, the touchscreen wheel for movement is hot garbage. you'll find yourself ducking randomly, stomping down bottomless pits, generally registering inputs you 100% would not have made with a different control scheme
