4.2 My journey with "Desert Golfing" began during a particularly hectic week at work. I was looking for a way to unwind during my breaks, and this app quickly became my go-to escape. Whether I was sitting in a crowded café or lounging at home, I found that the game provided a perfect distraction. On one occasion, I was waiting for a friend at a local park, and instead of scrolling through social media, I pulled out my phone and started playing. The endless desert landscape and the simple yet engaging gameplay made the wait feel much shorter.
The user interface of "Desert Golfing" is refreshingly straightforward. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a beautiful desert scene, and the controls were immediately intuitive. The workflow is seamless; I simply tap to aim and swipe to hit the ball. The performance is smooth, with no lag or glitches, which is crucial for a game that relies on precision. After several sessions, I found myself completely immersed in the gameplay, often losing track of time as I tried to beat my previous scores. The satisfaction of sinking a long putt or navigating tricky terrain kept me coming back for more.
"Desert Golfing" is available for a one-time purchase, which I found to be quite reasonable considering the endless entertainment it offers. There are no hidden fees or in-app purchases, allowing me to enjoy the game without any interruptions. This straightforward pricing model is a breath of fresh air in a market often filled with freemium games that bombard users with ads and purchase prompts.
The developers of "Desert Golfing" have shown a commitment to keeping the game fresh and engaging. Regular updates introduce new features and improvements, which I appreciate as a long-term player. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful, addressing any concerns I had promptly. I once encountered a minor issue with the app crashing, and after reaching out, I received a quick response with a solution that resolved the problem.
As an American user, I always consider security and privacy when downloading apps. "Desert Golfing" is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. The app does not require any personal data for registration, allowing me to enjoy the game without sharing sensitive information. I appreciate that there are no intrusive ads or tracking behavior, which is often a concern with mobile games. This focus on user privacy makes "Desert Golfing" a refreshing choice in a landscape where many apps prioritize data collection over user experience.

I didn't know you could finish this game but you can! Just finished hole 10,000 (took a few years of on and off playing) and now it's over. I feel sad and accomplished and grateful for such a marvelous and deceptively challenging game. Some holes were so easy it wasn't really a game, some of them took 70+ hits and some crazy physics tricks but I felt so satisfied when I finally got past those! Wonderful game. If I can figure out how to reset it I'll definitely start over.

A fun minimalist game that doesn't stress you with internet connectivity, ads, or even loading screens. I just starts up instantly and plays. There is a bug that required me to reinstall and lose my progress. When you find the rock around hole 700 don't push it into the hole. It will break the game. (They have since patched this. Even better!)

Great fun! The perfect game: very simple to play, but practice pays off in better scores; you can open it/close it at will and just pick up where you left off. I've just finished all 10,000 holes, and was able to start over by clearing the app's storage cache on Android (1. Long press on the app icon and choose App info 2. Choose Storage & cache 3. Choose Clear storage ); but I've also loaded the similar game by the same creator, Golf on Mars, and it's great too, although a bit more complex.

I've bought it on iOS and Android. There's something about this game I just can't get over. It's just so perfect. It's simple. No ads, no in app purchases, super simple mechanics. I've purchased a boat load of games over the years, but I'd have to say that this may be my most played game, including a majority of my Nintendo Switch and PC games, which is incredible for me to say about a mobile game.

I'm giving this a 3 for one reason: It's nearly impossible to backup your save or move it to a new phone. PLEASE add an import/export, or cloud-sync feature. PLEASE. I'm on hole 7691. I've made over 23,000 shots in the game. I don't want to lose it but this is the single app on my phone that I can't backup. Doesn't Google Play Games integration give super easy cloud save support? It probably wouldn't even be that hard to add into the game.
