4.5 My journey with "Empires & Puzzles: Match-3 RPG" began during my daily commute. With just a few minutes to spare, I would pull out my phone and dive into a quick match. The game’s design allows for short bursts of play, making it perfect for those moments when I’m waiting in line or riding the subway. I also found myself using the app during lunch breaks, where I could engage in a few battles and check on my base’s progress. On weekends, I would dedicate more time to strategizing my hero combinations and participating in alliance events, turning my gaming sessions into a mini-adventure.
The user interface of "Empires & Puzzles" is intuitive and visually appealing. The vibrant colors and detailed graphics draw you into the fantasy world, while the layout is straightforward enough for new players to navigate easily. I appreciated how the game seamlessly guides you through its features, from the initial tutorial to more complex strategies. The performance was smooth, with minimal lag during battles, which is crucial when you’re trying to make quick decisions. Overall, I felt a sense of accomplishment as I leveled up my heroes and expanded my base, making each session rewarding and engaging.
"Empires & Puzzles" is free to download and play, which is a significant advantage for casual gamers. However, there are in-app purchases available for those who want to speed up their progress or acquire exclusive heroes. I found that while spending money can enhance the experience, it’s entirely possible to enjoy the game without making any purchases. The balance between free and paid content is well-maintained, allowing players to choose their level of investment.
The developers of "Empires & Puzzles" are proactive in providing updates and support. I’ve noticed regular patches that introduce new heroes, events, and gameplay improvements, which keeps the community engaged. Additionally, the support team is responsive; I had a minor issue with a game feature, and their customer service was quick to address my concerns. This level of attention to user feedback makes me feel valued as a player.
As an American user, I always consider security and privacy when downloading apps. "Empires & Puzzles" is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. The registration process is straightforward, requiring only basic information, which is a relief compared to other games that ask for excessive personal data. I also appreciate that the game does not bombard me with intrusive ads, and any tracking behavior seems minimal, focusing primarily on enhancing the gaming experience rather than compromising my privacy. Overall, I feel secure using the app, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

Drop rates for usable characters are still pretty low. They’ve added more ways to summon, which helps, but it doesn’t really change how often you actually get something good. Ascension materials are very rare. You can grind for them, but it takes a long time (months) unless you’re spending money. oh.. and the new direct pay option feels a little creepy.

I've tried to go back to this game a few times, but I just can't. They work hard to create new characters, expand the story, but as a person who gives values to his money I can't go very far. They are doing everything to make you buy packages, spend money here and there to get good heroes. The best chance to get 5-star heroes was the training camp level 20. You spend a lot of resources to get 1 after 2 days. Now, there is a CHANCE to get 1. Frustrating... this USED to be a very good game...

I mean..... it's a bejeweled clone. It's nothing special. It's fun enough for a while, a good time killer. But it's all loot boxes. The game will give you the exact same heros over and over again even if you spend money. And the ones it gives you kinda suck. Tons of "special offers" and "deals" on things that are a very clear ripoff that won't give you what you want. And the more they add the less interested I am.

edited; from 5 to 2. used to be a lot of fun, but its almost a waste of time. the ads are too ridiculous. the heroes are impossible to beat until you get the in your gallery, and then they are useless against your opponents. the resources needed to train them are impossible to find. ive been sitting with four heroes that need to ascend for almost a year now. challenges keep repeating, and nothing new comes out unless you pay. its heartbreaking.

This was a great game when I started playing years ago. I stopped playing for a year or so. I tried playing again and remember why I quit playing. The game isn't fun. You can't be competitive unless you're spending thousands of dollars. The game is broken. I need to complete raids and the defenses I have to beat are a good 20-50% stronger than me. The new heroes are so overpowered and they constantly want you to spend money or watch the same ad for the same stupid pixel game over and over again.
