As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to financial apps, and Experian® does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. During the registration process, I was required to provide personal information, including my Social Security number and financial details, which is standard for credit monitoring services. However, I felt reassured knowing that Experian® employs advanced encryption and security measures to protect my data.

Moreover, the app does not bombard users with ads, which is a significant plus in my book. Instead, it focuses on providing a seamless user experience without unnecessary distractions. This app is pretty good. I've been using this app with a free Experian account for a long time. I've used this app and credit Karma at the same time, since they show data from different credit bureaus, to keep an eye on my credit score and other details while paying off all of my credit cards. Btw if you're trying to pay down credit cards, look up "debt snowball" online and try that method because you can do it on your own for free and it totally works!

The process to recover my account that i created years ago, was one of the worst experiences ive had on any app or website ive ever used. It took serveral calls to multiple experian numbers and hours to actually talk to a real representative. Trying to get transfered from the robot, was absolutely terrible and very frustrating. Once i finally got someone on the line, the process was smooth and easy, but it was a pain from the start, after trying several times and giving up.

From the initial page, it wasn't obvious where to find info about credit freeze, which was my purpose of visiting today. Once i found that page, i clicked to learn more about fraud alert & credit freeze. From that page, there was no obvious way to get back from that screen. I clicked all over it, tried to minimize etc. Quite exasperating.

For the past 2 months, I had not been able to access the app also on installing. It and reinstalling, it does not help it. It keeps coming back is technical difficulties. But I am still getting charged. The monthly fee that I pay for all three reports. if it does not get fixed, I will be canceling my subscription and requesting a charge back on my credit card.

I've been with experian for about 10 years now, that tells you itself that the app is a great app. it notify you with any alerts from your social security, dark web, pre-approved credit cards, loans, etc. You can dispute items on your credit report right then. Now and days with all the scamming you have to monitor your credit if you care about your credit. And my first choice is experian. Oh if you can't afford the $20 a month they have cheaper options!
