4.7 The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app is packed with features that make managing your finances a breeze. Here are some of the core highlights that stand out:
As a busy professional, I find myself constantly on the move, and the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app has become an essential tool in my daily life. Whether I’m at a café, commuting on the train, or even during a lunch break, I rely on the app to manage my finances efficiently. For instance, just last week, I was out with friends when we decided to split the bill for dinner. Instead of fumbling with cash or waiting for someone to transfer money later, I quickly opened the app, sent my share, and we were all set in seconds. It’s these little moments that highlight how convenient the app truly is.
The user interface of the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my account balances prominently. Navigating through the various features is seamless; I can easily switch between accounts, view transaction history, and access spending insights without any confusion. The performance is impressive as well; the app loads quickly, and I’ve never experienced any lag, even during peak usage times. Overall, my feelings after using the app are overwhelmingly positive. It feels secure, efficient, and tailored to meet my banking needs.
One of the best aspects of the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app is that it is completely free to download and use. There are no hidden fees associated with using the app for standard banking services, which is a significant advantage for users like me who want to manage their finances without incurring additional costs. However, it’s essential to be aware of any potential fees related to specific transactions or services outside the app.
HSBC regularly updates the app to enhance functionality and security, which is reassuring for users concerned about privacy and data protection. I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s performance and new features being added over time, which shows that HSBC is committed to providing a top-notch banking experience. Additionally, the customer support is readily available within the app, and I’ve found their response times to be quick and helpful, ensuring that any issues I encounter are resolved efficiently.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to banking apps. The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide personal data, including my name, address, and banking details, which is standard for any banking app. However, I appreciate that HSBC emphasizes the importance of protecting this information.
Moreover, the app does not bombard users with ads, which is a significant plus for me. I dislike apps that track my behavior for advertising purposes, and I’m pleased to report that HSBC respects user privacy in this regard. The app’s secure login options, including biometric authentication, further enhance my confidence in its security measures. Overall, I feel safe using the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app, knowing that my financial information is well-protected.

Absolutely lousy experience with this app. Every two months it freezes, does not open, and needs a full re-install and scan of IDs. I've been caught outside twice in shops, stuck because the lousy app froze. With all services are connected to the mobile app, I can't log on the website without the verification from phone, can't make online payments since the mobile app needs to verify purchases, and can't send bank to bank transfers for shops that don't accept cards.

Being a customer for a few years now. This app still lack the features of.most other online bank apps. On top of that, I wish the testing and verification was done more carefully. Everytime there was a major update, something stopped working. Most recently, on the last update, the security key generator stopped working and since then it's not possible to use the app or login into the web application :(

HSBC's app is so far behind Starling and Monzo, they've tried to implement payment confirmations but instead of a notification you have to manually open the app to see the prompt, and if you already have the app open it doesn't work until you close it and reopen. To get a code for online banking you also have to close and reopen. For credit cards there is no option to setup a direct debit or make a payment in the app, on online banking there is only the only to do it from an HSBC account.

The app is even worse than the previous one. Tiny letters with zero empathy for older people. Tiny selection icons unsuitable for mobile phones. I can't understand how it passed internal tests and got approved. The app received several improvements, but it's still the worst on the market from 6 banks I tested. Incredibly slow, gets stuck on loged off screen and sharing information doesn't work with external institutions.

Not a terrible app, but also it's more focused on what HSBC want than customers. There's far too many ads for products with too much prominence. But my current annoyance is that there's no way to see when your investments were made. You get a balance, but you don't know your ISA payments this year, so you can't know if you're going to hit the limits. Why is that so hard? I had to contact CS to get an answer, which was painfully slow.
