Ibis Paint is a versatile digital painting app designed for artists of all skill levels. With a user-friendly interface, it offers a wide range of features, including various brushes, layers, and blending modes. The app supports high-resolution canvases and provides tools for detailed artwork, making it ideal for both beginners and professionals. Users can also share their creations and access a community of artists for inspiration and collaboration. Whether sketching or painting, Ibis Paint enhances the creative process.

Features & Highlights

ibis Paint is a versatile drawing app that has captured the hearts of artists and hobbyists alike. With its rich set of features, it caters to both beginners and seasoned professionals. Here are some of the standout features that make ibis Paint a must-have for anyone interested in digital art:

  • Extensive Brush Library: ibis Paint boasts over 300 different brushes, allowing users to experiment with various styles and techniques. For instance, I often switch between the watercolor brush for soft backgrounds and the ink brush for detailed line work, giving my artwork a unique flair.
  • Layer Functionality: The app supports multiple layers, which is essential for complex compositions. I frequently use layers to separate different elements of my artwork, making it easy to edit without affecting the entire piece. This feature has saved me countless hours of frustration!
  • Real-Time Brush Preview: One of my favorite features is the real-time brush preview, which shows how the brush will look before applying it. This is particularly useful when I’m trying to achieve a specific texture or effect, as I can adjust settings on the fly without committing to a stroke.
  • Social Sharing Options: ibis Paint makes it easy to share your creations on social media platforms. After finishing a piece, I can quickly upload it to Instagram or Twitter, allowing me to showcase my work and connect with other artists.
  • Video Recording: The app has a built-in feature that records your drawing process. I love this because it allows me to create time-lapse videos of my artwork, which I can share with my followers. It’s a great way to engage with my audience and show them the effort that goes into each piece.

Real Experience Using "ibis Paint"

Application Scenarios

As an avid digital artist, I find myself reaching for ibis Paint in various scenarios throughout my day. Whether I’m on my morning commute or relaxing at home, the app is always within arm's reach. For instance, during my lunch break, I often sketch ideas for my next project. The portability of ibis Paint allows me to capture inspiration whenever it strikes. Additionally, I use it to create illustrations for my blog, where I share tutorials and tips for fellow artists. The app’s features make it easy to produce high-quality images that enhance my content.

User Experience

The user interface of ibis Paint is intuitive and user-friendly, making it accessible for artists of all skill levels. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that allows me to dive straight into my artwork. The toolbar is well-organized, and I appreciate how easy it is to switch between brushes, layers, and other tools. The performance is smooth, with minimal lag even when working on detailed pieces. I’ve never experienced any crashes, which is a huge plus. Overall, my experience with ibis Paint has been overwhelmingly positive; it feels like a professional-grade tool in the palm of my hand.

Pricing

ibis Paint offers a free version that includes a wide range of features, but for those who want to unlock the full potential of the app, there’s a premium subscription available. The subscription is reasonably priced, and it removes ads while providing access to additional brushes and features. I find the investment worthwhile, especially considering the quality of the tools and the regular updates that enhance the app.

Updates & Support

The developers of ibis Paint are committed to improving the app, as evidenced by the frequent updates that introduce new features and fix bugs. I’ve noticed enhancements in brush performance and additional tutorials that help users get the most out of the app. Customer support is also responsive; I once had a question about a feature, and I received a helpful reply within a day. This level of support makes me feel valued as a user.

Security & Privacy Review

When it comes to security and privacy, ibis Paint takes several measures to protect its users. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards of these platforms. Upon registration, users are required to provide minimal personal data, which is a relief for those concerned about privacy. I appreciate that the app does not ask for excessive information, making the onboarding process quick and straightforward.

Regarding ads and tracking behavior, the free version of ibis Paint does include ads, but they are not overly intrusive. The premium subscription removes these ads entirely, which enhances the overall experience. I also feel reassured knowing that the app does not engage in aggressive tracking practices, allowing me to focus on my art without worrying about my data being misused. Overall, ibis Paint strikes a good balance between functionality and user privacy, making it a trustworthy choice for digital artists.

Its a really good art app, but sometimes it can be really glitchy, but most of the time its ok. I really wish that custom size for animation didn't need to be paid for because when I import a drawing to an animation I can't make the canvas big enough and the images are all pixelly. It is a really good app though. 10/10 would recommend (i do recommend to all my friends) please do fix some of the glitches though! thank you, also my account name is yea, look up my art!!!!

This app is awesome and I do love to draw everywhere I go. the only thing I do wish it should have is the option to actually turn the palm rejection on when I don't have a fancy stylus or tablet. I've been using my phone to make ideas, but not being able to do palm rejection with a standard stylus is sad. other than that, the app is great.

While I do like ibis Paint and think it's one of the better digital art apps on Android (if not the best), I find the additional subscription paywall model frustrating, especially when one of the paid features is something as simple as personal gallery folders. I would have rather just paid more up-front for everything.

Bought it thinking; Surely the complete version would come with all the features, right? No, no it does not. God forbid you pay for something and it has the features unlocked. With this version you only get the brushes, things like tools are still locked. Stick with the X version, at least that's free.

It's a good app but overall the company has gotten more greedy with their ads and brushes and their subscriptions. under the assumption that everything would be unlocked once I bought this app I bought it only for it to just be adless with a subscription you can still buy. even when you buy the subscription the process for getting it to work is genuinely a pain
