4.2 Instacart has revolutionized the way we think about grocery shopping, making it easier and more convenient than ever. Here are some of the standout features that make this app a must-have for anyone looking to simplify their food delivery experience:
As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling work commitments and personal life, which leaves little time for grocery shopping. One of my favorite scenarios for using Instacart is during the weekends when I plan meals for the week ahead. Instead of spending hours wandering the aisles of the grocery store, I can sit down with my laptop, browse through my favorite stores, and fill my cart in a matter of minutes. Additionally, when I have friends over for dinner, I can quickly order snacks and drinks without the hassle of going out. The convenience of having everything delivered right to my doorstep is a game-changer.
The user interface of Instacart is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that makes navigation a breeze. The search function is robust, allowing me to find specific items quickly. Adding products to my cart is seamless, and I appreciate the organized categories that help me browse through different sections effortlessly. The performance of the app is impressive; it loads quickly, and I’ve never experienced any lag while placing an order. Overall, my experience with Instacart has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has significantly reduced the stress associated with grocery shopping.
Instacart offers a variety of pricing options, including a subscription service called Instacart Express. With this plan, I can enjoy unlimited free delivery on orders over $35 for a monthly or annual fee. While there is a delivery fee for non-subscribers, I find that the convenience often outweighs the cost. Additionally, prices for items are generally comparable to what I would find in-store, making it a reasonable option for my grocery needs.
Instacart frequently updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s speed and functionality over time, which shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. The support team is also responsive; I once had a minor issue with an order, and their customer service was quick to resolve it. They offer support through various channels, including chat and email, making it easy to get help when needed.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that handles personal data and payment information. Instacart is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. When registering, I was required to provide basic personal information, including my name, address, and payment details. I appreciate that Instacart uses encryption to protect this sensitive data.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I’ve noticed that the app does collect data to improve user experience, but it’s done transparently. I have the option to manage my privacy settings, which gives me peace of mind. Overall, I feel secure using Instacart, knowing that my information is handled responsibly.

Riddled with scammers and hidden fees. Ordered a single item, then get a message saying the item was about 40% more than what was originally purchased for and asked my approval for the purchase which I did agree to. The was delivered with a receipt for the price that I originally agreed upon from the store it was purchased, then got the receipt from instacart showing 2 items. Only ever received one item and they marked that one item up 40% from the store and somehow changed my items to two.

I have been using the Instacart app for a little while now, and I really enjoy it. The app is very easy to use, you do pay more for some items than you would in the store, but that is the cost of convience. 9/11/24 UPDATE: I recently notice that when I order heavy items the female shoppers will mark them as not available, even when the item is available. I feel like some of them don't want to lift the heavy items. I'm ready to stop using instacart. I wish I could choose male shopper for my order

Before Instacart offered free delivery. Now, in order to force Instacart+ on people, you have to pay anywhere from $1.99 to $9.99 depending on how fast you need the items delivered; absolutely awful. Plus, shoppers don't know how to say thank you. A $25 tip isn't enough? Do you want $1,000? Items shown as in stock are often marked as not available & alternatives ignored. What a joke Instacart has become.

Beware! I have tried to reach support and work through ordering issues multiple times. Each time they have told me a different way that they cannot help me. They have told me they can link a new account but without my Instacart+ offers (which make restaurants affordable), that I can verify my number in a month after my subscription expires, and that, because I was able to place one order, I am not eligible for a refund. Run, fast and far.

Search function is busted. Shoppers consistently deliver to the wrong address. I've even received orders meant for other people, not just had my own orders misplaced. There needs to be more of a way to make sure shoppers drop off orders at the correct place. As it stands, I'm paying a monthly fee to get a slight discount on orders I rarely actually get.
