Have had and used this app for many years and have yet to see anything better. easy to use, great illustrations and control of them and pretty much up to date. I'm retired and I am a big fisherman of all types and own a couple of large fishing boats and enjoy camping. I tie a lot of knots on a daily basis ( not counting shoe laces) and sometimes I need a refresher or run into something new and this app is always on hand.

Great way to learn a ton of basic knots. Love the ability to spin and flip the knot, and easily change the speed of the animation. Great descriptions of uses and variations with references to similar knots that may be more/less useful. Only improvement would be to add some visual or textual examples of the knots in common applications. ie. a visual of the truckie hitch being used to temporarily secure a load would add some clarity on points of contact with the load and finishing the knot.

Huge fan of this app. I go back to it again and again for refresher on a knot I haven't used in a while, or to find a knot that works better for what I want to do than the ones I already know. The ability to speed up or slow down the video and to rotate the visual to see the knot from different angles is fantastic. I am a Scout leader and frequently train other leaders who don't have the hands-on skills yet, and I always use this as a teaching tool and encourage them to use it with their Scouts.

I've been using this App for over 3 years. It's the best one on the market that I've found. You can control the speed of the video and slow it down or even back it up to see a difficult routing, rotate it, and keep a list of your favorites. Sometimes, there is an advantage to seeing the hands tie a knot, such as the Alpine Butterfly wrap method, and other techniques to tie these knots that this App doesn't show, but it's still my go to App for reminders and practicing.

I wish there were a way to look up the best knots for a specific use case, like "I need to hang a clothesline" or "I need to lift an object." Maybe an additional category that lists common use cases or tasks and shows the relevant knots. Even adding a way to just search keywords in the descriptions would be helpful. In any case, this is a great app and is handy in a surprising amount of situations.
