4.1 Magic DosBox is a remarkable application that brings the nostalgia of DOS gaming to modern devices. With its user-friendly interface and powerful features, it allows users to relive classic games with ease. Here are some of the core features that make Magic DosBox stand out:
As a lifelong fan of retro gaming, I often find myself reminiscing about the hours spent in front of my old DOS computer. Magic DosBox has become my go-to app for reliving those cherished moments. I use it during my daily commute, where I can easily pull out my tablet and dive into a quick session of "Commander Keen" while waiting for the bus. It’s also a fantastic way to unwind after a long day at work; I can simply launch the app, select my game profile, and immerse myself in the pixelated worlds of my childhood.
The user interface of Magic DosBox is intuitive and straightforward, making it easy for both seasoned gamers and newcomers to navigate. Upon launching the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that showcases my game library. The workflow is seamless; I can quickly create a new game profile or adjust the control settings without any confusion. Performance-wise, the app runs exceptionally well on my device, with no noticeable lag or crashes, even when playing more demanding titles. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as the app not only meets my expectations but often exceeds them.
Magic DosBox is available for a reasonable price, which I found to be quite fair considering the extensive features it offers. The app provides a free version with limited functionality, allowing users to test it out before committing to the full version. The premium version unlocks all features and is a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about DOS gaming. I felt that the price was justified given the nostalgia and enjoyment it brings to my gaming sessions.
The developers of Magic DosBox are proactive in providing updates and support. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance the app’s performance and add new features, which shows their commitment to improving the user experience. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful; I reached out with a question about a specific game configuration, and they replied promptly with a detailed solution. This level of support gives me confidence in the app and its ongoing development.
When it comes to security and privacy, Magic DosBox takes a responsible approach. The app is available on official app stores, such as the Google Play Store, which adds a layer of trustworthiness. There are no intrusive ads or tracking behavior that could compromise user privacy, which is a significant concern for many American users. The app does not require extensive personal data for registration, allowing me to enjoy my gaming experience without worrying about my information being misused. Overall, I feel secure using Magic DosBox, knowing that my privacy is respected while I indulge in my favorite retro games.

Great DOSBox implementation. A couple of features that would be nice would be for mounting a floppy disc and the ability to auto add an "exit" after the running application exits. In addition, if the running application is a batch file, it should "call" the batch file. Just so I don't have to edit the "advanced" file every time. Another addition could be to set defaults.

Way better than Dosbox Turbo and Manager. Could use a more material (or just cleaner) design, but it is very intuitive for the average techie. I like that this is more containerized. Criticism: Better design (in terms of theme and color choices) Being able to drop existing games into Collections (folders) Icon could be something nicer (personal preference) Some games require a joystick and a "fire" button, that I can't find a setting for mapping or emulating, such as Destruction Derby. I like it a lot and hope it keeps on improving. Better tutorials with improved production value would be nice. Add a "buy me a beer" donation link even in the paid version somewhere, so people can contribute more if they want.

Just fantastic. I am able to play a large variety of classic DOS games on my old Kindle Fire 7 (2015). Interface is easy to use. The customization options make playing most games a snap. I'm just enthralled. Best version of DosBox on Android hands down, and it allowed me to turn and old device into my gaming console of choice. I found a couple of the widgets that I couldn't get to work, and a few more system graphics to represent widget actions would be welcome. But, that's nitpicking. What works here, works perfectly. If I could give it 6 stars, I would.

Absolutely amazing app! I love working with vintage computers and this app allows me to bring some of that joy on the go with some of my favorite games. The amount of features and the customizability is insane to the point there's a learning curve but it's well worth it! If you run into the issue of no sound, game lock ups, or sound hardware initializing errors, try copying the sound config fields from the PC version of DOSBox into the app version and increasing some of the buffers a tad bit.

This is leagues better than playing DOS games on RetroArch. The controls for each game you load here are manageable, and they're all emulated in ways that you would want it. But what I really like is this app's ability to replicate mouse controls just by touching and dragging around the screen, which is pretty useful for point-and-click adventures and a few breakout clones that support this control scheme.
