4.6 As a daily commuter, I often find myself using Mini Metro during my morning train rides. It’s the perfect way to unwind while still engaging my mind. I usually pull out my phone and dive into a quick game, where I can design a subway system for a city like Paris. The game’s short rounds fit perfectly into my commute, allowing me to play for just a few minutes or longer if I’m feeling particularly inspired. Additionally, I’ve found it to be a great way to pass the time while waiting for appointments or during lunch breaks, turning mundane moments into fun challenges.
The user interface of Mini Metro is sleek and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through the various menus and gameplay options. The tutorial is straightforward, guiding new players through the basics without overwhelming them. I appreciated how the game gradually introduced new elements, such as different train types and station upgrades, allowing me to build my skills progressively. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly on my device, with no lag or crashes, which is crucial for maintaining immersion. Overall, I felt a sense of accomplishment as I successfully expanded my subway network, and the satisfaction of seeing my city thrive was incredibly rewarding.
Mini Metro is reasonably priced, offering a one-time purchase option that unlocks the full game without any hidden fees or in-app purchases. This straightforward pricing model is refreshing in a world filled with freemium games that often bombard users with ads and paywalls. I found the investment worthwhile, especially considering the hours of entertainment and strategic thinking it provides.
The developers of Mini Metro are committed to enhancing the user experience through regular updates. I’ve noticed several improvements and new features added since I first downloaded the app, which keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful, addressing any concerns I had promptly. It’s reassuring to know that the developers are actively engaged with their community and continuously working to improve the game.
As an American user, I prioritize security and privacy when using mobile apps, and Mini Metro does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a level of trustworthiness associated with these platforms. Upon installation, I was pleased to find that the app does not require extensive personal data for registration, which is a significant plus in today’s data-driven world.
Moreover, Mini Metro does not feature intrusive ads or tracking behavior, allowing for an uninterrupted gaming experience. This lack of ads not only enhances the gameplay but also alleviates concerns about data privacy. Overall, I feel secure using Mini Metro, knowing that my personal information is not being exploited, and I can enjoy the game without distractions.

things to improve: 1) undo button for track changes when paused. 2) the ability to select which color of track i want to use instead of relying on a preset order. 3) the ability to see stats about how many trains/cars/etc. are currently deployed on a track. 4) better interface for working a chosen track when fiddling with highly interconnected nodes. (ie: click color in side bar & then only that color can be edited on the map) 5) let ppl actually look at the map when deciding their next upgrade

I really appreciate that this game is reasonably priced, with no ads. But it doesn't feel realistic, which makes it less interesting the more you play. I was obsessed at first, but now I find myself occasionally giving it another shot, only to be reminded why I had stopped playing. It would make more sense if each stop was a guideline vs a location you HAVE to connect to. Then you could create realistic lines based on nearby hotspots (extra points if hotspots appear/disappear/change over time)

5 stars for style, 3 stars for gameplay. Visuals are perfection. The generative soundtrack is wonderfully creative, when it isn't stuck on a dissonant chord. Early and mid game is fun, but once you get deep enough into a game, the only way to really improve your score is by pausing and moving trains to full stations manually, which undermines the fun of designing a good system. Overall enjoyable for a few weeks, but the game is generally less fun the better you get

Great strategy game with no ads! I wish there were more instances where you got like a special train for Japan I think it was, but I was absolutely addicted until I beat all the cities available. There is a daily challenge, but I'm not sure how I feel about playing those. It's definitely worth the price of admission for the main playthrough though!!!

Great time killer. The levels require thinking and good observation skills. Being deceptively easy at first, it really draws you in. It's what a simulation game should be. Not just a good game for kids but also adults. I say it's worth whatever they want to charge for it. No ads obviously but also no in-game purchases. This is one of those games that take minutes to learn but years to master.
