3.3 The "My BT" app is a powerful tool designed to enhance the experience of BT customers. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it allows users to manage their accounts seamlessly. Here are some of the standout features that make this app a must-have for BT users:
As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling multiple responsibilities, and the "My BT" app has become an essential part of my daily routine. For example, during my morning commute, I like to check my data usage to ensure I’m on track for the month. The app’s real-time monitoring feature allows me to adjust my usage if I’m nearing my limit. Additionally, when I have friends over for a movie night, I can quickly check my internet speed and troubleshoot any connectivity issues right from my phone, ensuring a smooth streaming experience.
The user interface of the "My BT" app is intuitive and visually appealing. Navigating through the various features feels seamless, and I appreciate how quickly I can access the information I need. The workflow is straightforward; for instance, if I want to pay my bill, I simply tap on the billing section, select my payment method, and confirm. The app performs exceptionally well, with minimal loading times and no crashes during my usage. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as the app not only meets my needs but also enhances my overall satisfaction with BT services.
The "My BT" app is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for BT customers. There are no hidden fees associated with the app itself, and it serves as a valuable tool for managing your account without any additional costs. This transparency in pricing makes it even more appealing, as I can utilize all its features without worrying about extra charges.
BT regularly updates the app to improve functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed enhancements in performance and new features being added over time, which shows that the developers are committed to keeping the app relevant. Additionally, customer support is readily available through the app, allowing me to get assistance whenever I encounter issues. The responsiveness of the support team has been commendable, making me feel valued as a customer.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and "My BT" does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name and email address, which is standard for account management apps. I appreciate that the app has a clear privacy policy outlining how my data is used and protected.
Moreover, I have not encountered any intrusive ads or excessive tracking behavior while using the app. This is a significant relief, as many apps today compromise user privacy for advertising revenue. "My BT" focuses on providing a secure environment for its users, allowing me to manage my account without worrying about my personal information being misused. Overall, I feel confident in the app's commitment to maintaining my privacy and security.

Shockingly bad app and BT appear to have achieved an impressive own goal. It used to be pretty good, but suspect an update at some point has rendered it completely unusable and crashes every time you try logging into it. Other reviews with the same issue across different devices suggest it isn't my device (which has been changed recently), and online searches suggest turning off 2FA. I can't do this though as my online settings prevent it being turned off! What a ridiculous situation to be in.

Only slightly more use than a chocolate fireguard. As mentioned the wifi test is very hit and miss in actually working and when it does the results rarely reflect reality. The trouble shooter redirects me to my account's broadband offer for halo 3 (I entered a 2 year contract for FTTP a month ago). The Engineer speed test seems permanenlty broken . The app requires me to set a pin to get in but then promptly forgets I've set a pin and asks me to set one again.

I just want to read my emails! You pay a premium price for BT Broadband and email and get the worst email experience. Very buggy on Chrome, Edge and Firefox. In the MyBT app, which is another whole world of pain (ita), it takes you to a web browser and you have to log in all over again. What is the point of the incomplete, buggy app? you asked me to uninstall and reinstall, I did but still the same. I'm on a Pixel 7a with all the latest updates.

The latest version of the app makes adjusting your "Digital Voice" landline impossible. Seeing that I was given no choice over switching a year ago this is pretty shocking. All controls relating to landline are deeply hidden and are now minimal. I used to be able to check my callers, block if necessary, adjust voicemail and many other things. The app now seems to be mostly about looking fancy and getting me to buy more product.

Strange app. Doesn't work. Won't let me view bills or much else other than seeing my account number. The app then indicates to me that I do not have any landline service with them which is actually the only reason I have the app and I pay a monthly bill by direct debit. I spoke to them about this a few weeks ago and was told it looked the same from their end and it was a "glitch" as they changed systems with the data. They said they hoped it would be resolved but couldn't say when.
