4.3 The Nationwide Banking App is designed to make banking easier and more accessible for its users. With a range of features that cater to everyday banking needs, it stands out in the crowded app marketplace. Here are some of its core features:
As a busy professional, I rely heavily on the Nationwide Banking App for my daily financial tasks. One of my favorite scenarios is during my morning commute. While waiting for the train, I can quickly check my account balances and recent transactions. This helps me plan my day and make informed decisions about my spending. Additionally, I often use the app to transfer money to friends or family when we split bills for dinner or outings. It’s incredibly convenient to do this on the go without needing to visit an ATM or bank branch.
The user interface of the Nationwide Banking App is clean and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a dashboard that displays my account balances and recent transactions at a glance. The workflow for depositing checks is straightforward; I simply select the deposit option, take a photo of the front and back of the check, and submit it. The app processes the deposit quickly, and I receive a confirmation almost immediately. Overall, the performance is smooth, with minimal lag, and I appreciate the consistent updates that enhance functionality. My overall feeling after using the app is one of satisfaction; it truly simplifies my banking experience.
The Nationwide Banking App is free to download and use for all Nationwide Bank customers. There are no hidden fees associated with using the app for standard banking services, which is a significant advantage. However, it’s essential to be aware of any fees related to specific transactions, such as wire transfers or overdrafts, which are standard across most banking apps.
Nationwide regularly updates the app to improve functionality and security, which is reassuring for users like me. I’ve noticed enhancements in the user interface and the addition of new features over time. Customer support is readily available through the app, and I’ve had positive experiences when reaching out for assistance. The response time is generally quick, and the support team is knowledgeable and helpful.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to banking apps. The Nationwide Banking App is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide personal information, including my Social Security number and account details, which is standard for banking apps. However, I appreciate that the app uses encryption to protect my data.
One concern I had was regarding ads or tracking behavior. Fortunately, the Nationwide Banking App does not bombard users with ads, which enhances the overall experience. Additionally, I found that the app does not track my behavior for advertising purposes, which is a significant plus for privacy-conscious users. Overall, I feel secure using the Nationwide Banking App, knowing that my personal and financial information is well-protected.

I like Nationwide, mostly for its Fairer Share scheme. Two gripes: 1. For transfers to/from anyone else with Nationwide, it only shows their account details, no reference or name. You can't see who it's to or from. This is really very irritating and makes it really hard to keep track of who has sent you money. 2. The app often says it needs to be reinstalled. Luckily it's not true. Fully closing it and reopening it does the trick. Other reviews show others have this problem too

the worst banking app in the United Kingdom. In order to use this app you have to carry around a separate physical card reader making the whole point of a mobile banking app useless. Furthermore the stupid card reader sometimes doesn't give you the correct details. I actually changed my bank over this app. open up an account with a real bank and get a real banking app.

Easy to use, everything is straightforward and it's easy to keep track of my accounts. Rated 3* because there's a few features that would be great: a pay feature would be so good like other banks do for times I don't want to carry my purse with my bank card in; and a scan option to pay in cheques, especially since all my local branches are in town centres which are a pain to get to.

App is already dated. It was better than the ancient one it replaced but still, lacks many features that are standard with many bank apps. Verification via the app often doesn't work (no notification sent) the recently paid people section displays people you haven't paid in years but not your partner who you paid yesterday. No option for different pots either, which would be nice but the priority should be getting the thing to actually work.

always crashes on loading. also, it used to give a notification if you didnt have money to cover your payments that told you what the amount was, now it forces you to go into the app to find the amount you need to transfer, an unnecessary hoop to jump through that you dont need on a busy morning, which has caused me to miss a payment recently. way to make things worse, guys
