The new continent Side Solistia takes place in the world of Ocotopath Traveler 2 which is exciting, but the translation is horrible. Grammatical and spelling errors are all over the place. The tone of every character is flat. There are 0 conjunctions making characters sound stiff. It honestly looks like they used Google translate. The prices are still too high and the banner summons seem worse than the Square Enix version. I'll keep playing only to see if the story is good.

Good game if you like "gambling" for characters. I don't really like all the "daily bonus" rewards though - reason being is that it makes you too OP for everything and then you have to slog through a bunch of chapters before there is even a challenge. Regardless of these downfalls, the game itself is solid, and if you happen to have self control and don't power-level your guys it might be a well balanced game even.

Fun game. Absolutely beautiful. very deep and detailed. I really like being able to coax and battle the NPCs for rewards. Four stars only because they need more respect for the players time. Too many things aren't skippable, some of the things that are skippable take three or four presses to skip fully. It can take almost a full minute to summon one character without being able to expidite it much.

It has to download 3.6 GB of data. The problem is that if the screen turns off or you view ANYTHING else besides the downloading screen, it will have to restart at 0%!. I already set the app to NEVER sleep or power manage. App also completely restarts the forced registration process when you switch away from the app to get the mandatory verification code from email. I've finally played the game. It's not great. Very disappointed as a huge fan of Final Fantasy and such RPGs.

This is from the perspective of someone who played the first 2 games on console. Compared to the console games, this is clearly a smaller scale experience, but it still has the great art and music this series is known for (even if the music is mostly reused from the console games). There's no English dub, which is disappointing when the console games have great dubs. Pro tip: Find a good team early and don't bother training anyone else. It's a more authentic RPG experience that way.
