4.3 “Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty” is a delightful remake of the classic platformer, bringing a fresh perspective to a beloved franchise. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-play:
As a long-time fan of platformers, I often find myself looking for games that can provide both nostalgia and a fresh experience. I typically play “Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty” during my downtime, whether it’s on a lazy Sunday afternoon or during my commute. The game’s engaging puzzles and captivating storyline make it perfect for short bursts of play, allowing me to dive into the Oddworld universe whenever I have a few minutes to spare. I also enjoy sharing my progress with friends, discussing strategies for saving Mudokons, and comparing our experiences with the game’s various challenges.
The user interface of “Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty” is intuitive and user-friendly. Navigating through the menus is a breeze, and I appreciated the clear layout that made it easy to jump into the game. The controls are responsive, allowing for precise movements, which is crucial in a platformer. I found the gameplay to be smooth, with minimal lag or glitches, enhancing my overall experience. The sound design is equally impressive, with a rich soundtrack that complements the visuals and adds to the immersive atmosphere. After several hours of gameplay, I felt a strong sense of accomplishment, especially after overcoming particularly challenging levels.
“Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty” is reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of the game. It typically retails for around $29.99, which I believe is a fair price for the amount of content and enjoyment it offers. There are often sales and discounts available, making it even more accessible for those who are hesitant to invest full price. Given the hours of entertainment I’ve received, I consider it a worthwhile purchase.
The developers of “Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty” have been proactive in providing updates and support. I’ve noticed several patches that have improved gameplay and fixed minor bugs, which shows their commitment to enhancing the user experience. Additionally, the community support is robust, with forums and social media channels where players can share tips and report issues. This level of engagement makes me feel valued as a player and reassures me that the developers are dedicated to maintaining the game’s quality.
When it comes to security and privacy, “Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty” is available on reputable platforms like the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of trustworthiness. The game does not require extensive personal data for registration, which is a relief for privacy-conscious users like myself. I was able to jump right into the action without having to share unnecessary information. Additionally, I did not encounter any intrusive ads or tracking behavior while playing, which is often a concern with mobile games. This focus on user privacy makes the experience even more enjoyable, allowing me to immerse myself in the game without distractions.

Grew up with original 2 on ps1. While the cutscenes here are less grim and more slapstick (it really bummed me out), the gameplay is much improved over the original. The graphics are beautiful even on my android, and it supports bluetooth controllers. DEFINITELY DEFINITELY worth the 5 bucks. I LOVE it. Such nostalgia, even with the few hiccups. If you love abe's journeys through the 3 games, get this. You wont regret it. Munch and stranger are both cheap. All 3, 10 bucks. In glukkon voice "DO IT

After a glowing recommendation from a friend I was very excited to play this game. It seems that the game has a bug where it'll think that a controller is connected to my phone when there isn't. This leads to never actually being able to play the game because the on-screen controls never show up. I really hope this is fixed soon as I'd love to play. Downloaded on Pixel 3XL

I'm amazed at how well this translates to mobile controls, but the sections with Elum are SO BAD that it's basically unplayable. Elum barely jumps more than half the time when you hit the button, and there is a major issue with characters glitching across small gaps when they run full speed. I've seen it happen with sligs several times too, but it's game- breaking during the Elum sections.

Absolute 10/10. Can't believe how well they ported the game across to mobile. It runs excellently on my OnePlus 6 and lets you customise both resolution and detail settings to optimise performance. The controls are also very easy to pick up. I mainly wish that the throw button was a bit bigger so I could hit it more consistently. As for the game, it's an excellent puzzle platformer with a great sense of humour. They don't make games like this anymore. Give it a go. Save them mudokons :).

This has definitely brought back some memories! The game is pretty much as I remember it. the controls are not terrible considering I am operating is by my phone, it does make some tasks/challenges a bit more difficult. This however does not take away from the fact that you are playing a classic game from your child good 20 years later on a mobile phone!
