4.3 Quicken Simplifi: Budget Smart is a powerful budgeting tool that stands out in the crowded field of personal finance apps. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it helps users take control of their finances effortlessly. Here are some of the core features that make it a must-have for anyone looking to manage their money better:
As someone who juggles multiple financial responsibilities, I found Quicken Simplifi: Budget Smart to be an invaluable tool in my daily life. For example, every Sunday, I sit down with a cup of coffee and review my budget for the week. I input my expected expenses, from groceries to entertainment, and the app helps me visualize where my money will go. Additionally, during the month, I often find myself at the mall or dining out with friends. With the app on my phone, I can quickly log these expenses, ensuring I stay on track without having to remember every little purchase later.
The user interface of Quicken Simplifi is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a dashboard that summarizes my financial health at a glance. The workflow is seamless; adding transactions is straightforward, and the app categorizes them automatically, which saves me a lot of time. Performance-wise, I’ve experienced no lag, even when syncing my bank accounts. Overall, using Quicken Simplifi feels empowering. It’s like having a personal finance coach in my pocket, guiding me towards better financial decisions.
Quicken Simplifi offers a subscription model, which I found to be quite reasonable considering the features it provides. The monthly fee is competitive compared to other budgeting apps, and there’s also an annual plan that offers a discount. I appreciate that the app provides a free trial, allowing users to explore its features before committing to a subscription. This transparency in pricing is a big plus for me.
The support for Quicken Simplifi is commendable. I encountered a minor issue with syncing my bank account, and the customer service team was quick to respond. They provided clear instructions that resolved my problem in no time. Additionally, the app receives regular updates, which often include new features and improvements based on user feedback. This commitment to enhancing the user experience is something I truly value.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to managing my finances through an app. Quicken Simplifi is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide some personal data, including my email and bank account information. However, I felt reassured by the app’s robust encryption measures and privacy policies, which are clearly outlined on their website.
Importantly, Quicken Simplifi does not bombard users with ads, which is a relief. I’ve noticed that many free apps often track user behavior for advertising purposes, but this app focuses on providing a seamless user experience without intrusive ads. Overall, I feel confident using Quicken Simplifi, knowing that my financial data is secure and my privacy is respected.

The app aggregated my accounts beautifully. The interface is easy to use. And, I trust the Quicken brand from more than 20 years of use. My only needs are to have my 401k account made available. (Other companies use the same service, but mine isn't listed.) Also, the web tool does merge transactions or link to recurring bills as well at the mobile app.

The software doesn't detect proper categorization of a budgeted item. I've tried a bunch of different ways and nothing works. Now I have too much data to go back and try to fix it. The constant 2 factor login errors is wildly annoying. It should connect to auto trader or some other app to value vehicles as the way to input assets now is terrible especially if you want to change the value. It's just clunky and unrefined. I want Mint back.

really tough to keep up with the app. it's designed well and easy enough to add accounts, but the accounts don't always link, the transactions you're expecting don't link to what has occurred, you need to reconnect and reverify accounts regularly, lots of notifications to action, and overall, much more work than benefit. lots of work for limited benefit. I think quicken makes money from people signing up, realizing it isn't good, canceling, and keeping 55% of the money paid as well. beware

Disappointing app. I still use it but merely to automatically track my transactions and then I manually import them to another app. The UI for this app is abysmal. It lacks percentages for reports, the monthly comparisons lack any numerical values and just so bars, and while it does have subcategories it doesnt show them appropriately in reports. Using this app is extremely frustrating.

This app used to work well but since the last update the figures aren't adding up. Could some hanky panky be going on? My institutions say one net worth and Q gives a different total, even if the separate institutions total within Q are within $30 or so, the net worth within Q is hundreds of $ off. After 5-6 hours after the stock market closes, the totals come into sync. But the market isn't the issue. It's the banks that were out of balance today. Mostly accurate isn't good enough.
