4.2 RAR is a powerful file compression and extraction tool that stands out in a crowded market. Its user-friendly interface and robust features make it a go-to choice for anyone needing to manage files efficiently. Here are some of the core features that make RAR a must-have app:
My journey with the RAR app began when I was tasked with organizing a large number of files for a project. I had documents, images, and presentations scattered across my device, and I needed a reliable way to compress and manage them. RAR quickly became my go-to tool. I often find myself using it in various scenarios, such as when I need to send files via email, back up important documents, or simply organize my digital workspace. For example, during a recent team project, I used RAR to compress a folder containing all our research materials, making it easy to share with my teammates without overwhelming their inboxes.
The user interface of RAR is one of its standout features. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean and straightforward layout that made navigation a breeze. The workflow for compressing and extracting files is intuitive; I simply select the files I want to work with, choose the desired action, and let the app do the rest. Performance-wise, RAR is impressively fast, even with larger files. I’ve never experienced any lag or crashes, which is crucial when I’m in the middle of a tight deadline. Overall, my experience with RAR has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s reliable, efficient, and has become an essential part of my daily digital toolkit.
RAR is available for free, which is a significant advantage for users looking for a cost-effective solution. However, there is a premium version that unlocks additional features, such as advanced compression options and priority support. The pricing is reasonable, and I found the premium features worth the investment, especially for someone who frequently handles large files.
The developers of RAR are proactive in providing updates, ensuring that the app remains compatible with the latest operating systems and file formats. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance performance and introduce new features. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful. I once had a question about a specific feature, and I received a prompt and informative reply, which made me feel valued as a user.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to file management apps. RAR is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. The app does not require extensive personal data for registration, which is a relief. I appreciate that I can use it without providing unnecessary information. Furthermore, RAR does not bombard users with ads or engage in intrusive tracking behavior, allowing for a seamless experience. The encryption feature is particularly reassuring, as it ensures that my sensitive files remain secure. Overall, RAR prioritizes user privacy, making it a trustworthy choice for anyone concerned about data security.

I've been using this for a week or so and the ads aren't too bad for a free app, even though they're fullscreen they aren't long, you can close them immediately. It's been good so far with opening up RAR files and such and i wouldn't say it has any downsides. I can see all my files. [I've been using this for my 2DS, and at first i used the app on my tablet, and i could only move the files to a home folder on that SD, but it doesn't happen on my phone so thats nice!] Suggestion: Search button

This app has a serious bug. When moving files from internal memory to an SD card, the SD card is afterwards no longer readable by the Android operating system, as if it has been deleted. I was moving files from my download folder in internal memory to a folder with the same name on the SD card which was formatted for external file storage. The files are still there and I was able to retrieve them in a Windows op system via a memory card reader, but were no longer visible on my Android devices.

Great app. Organized. Works Just like WinRAR on PC. My only complaint: I really wish they would have made the in-app payment to remove ads a one-time fee, rather than a subscribtion. I know it's only 99¢ per year, but I'd legitimately rather pay $3 - $5 now than have a paid subscribtion than I'm definitely going to forget about.

The app is great! I love how I can look at pictures without having to extract them. I don't know if it's possible, but I'd love it if I could scroll through pictures instead of opening each one individually. I also like the "send" option where I can move things to other zip/rar files. However, it looks like I can't send folders to other zip/rar files. Would be great if I could do that and also create folders myself within the zip/rar files, since I like having things be organized.

Terrible. The interface is horrible and you can never find your directories without searching it every time. ZArchive is x100 better. Never using this trash again.
