2.8 The RBC Mobile app is a powerful tool for managing your finances on the go. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it caters to a wide range of banking needs. Here are some of the standout features that make this app a must-have for RBC customers:
As a busy professional, I rely heavily on the RBC Mobile app for my daily banking needs. One of my favorite scenarios is during my morning commute. While waiting for the train, I can quickly check my account balance and recent transactions to ensure everything is in order. Additionally, I often use the app to transfer money to friends or family when we’re out together, making it easy to split costs without fumbling with cash. On weekends, I find myself using the mobile deposit feature to handle checks I receive, allowing me to enjoy my time off without worrying about bank visits.
The user interface of the RBC Mobile app is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon logging in, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my accounts and balances at a glance. The workflow for tasks like transferring money or paying bills is straightforward, with clear prompts guiding me through each step. Performance-wise, the app is responsive, and I’ve rarely encountered any lag or crashes, which is crucial when I’m in a hurry. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive; the app feels secure and reliable, giving me peace of mind as I manage my finances.
The RBC Mobile app is free to download and use for all RBC customers. There are no hidden fees associated with using the app for standard banking services, which is a significant advantage. However, it’s essential to note that certain transactions, like international money transfers, may incur fees, so it’s wise to check the details before proceeding.
RBC is proactive in updating the app to enhance functionality and security. I’ve noticed regular updates that introduce new features and improve existing ones, which keeps the app fresh and user-friendly. In terms of support, RBC offers a comprehensive help section within the app, along with customer service options if I need further assistance. I appreciate having multiple channels to get help, whether through chat, phone, or email.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to banking apps. The RBC Mobile app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide personal information, including my Social Security number and banking details, which is standard for financial apps. However, I felt reassured by the app’s robust encryption and security measures, which protect my data.
Importantly, the app does not bombard users with ads, which is a relief. I’ve also noticed that it does not engage in excessive tracking behavior, respecting my privacy while still providing a personalized experience. Overall, I feel confident using the RBC Mobile app, knowing that my financial information is secure and my privacy is respected.

I have a linked US account as well as a Canadian account. The US accounts can't show up in the app. Every time I try (for the past two weeks) I just get the error "sorry were having technical issues please try later". Very annoying because it means there's no app for US accounts! Edit: rating still the same, talked to the digital team and they don't even have the steps to walk through to where the issue occurs. This issue is tied to not being able to link US & CAD accounts right now. No fix yet

It works when it works 😕 I wish I could attach screenshots here... "Sorry, we are having technical issues at the moment" press "OK" "An unknown error has occurred" press "OK" Well, It's Not OK! Why can't add/modify Payees as separate function without to have to send/move finds? I wish I was able to change the transaction limit in the app. And to be able to make it more than $2000.

This is one of the most frustrating banking mobile apps I have ever used. I continue to get error messages when trying to retrieve statements from my PC. I cannot get to the tax statement page from the mobile app, and I've been calling the help line for the past two days and 1) got a technical difficulties message on the first day and 2) was cut off on the second attempt. Aside from frequently getting "we were expecting a different answer" fairly consistently when trying to log in via other devices.

App doesn'tload my accounts. I successfully enter my correct password. Password is accepted. App shows a loading progress bar. Then upon loading my accounts (Dominion Securities) there is a pop-up saying "Something went wrong. You'll have to sign in again" So yeah, I'm stuck in this endless loop for many weeks. Cleared app data and cache, no change. Can't use app at all. I can sign in on the website from a desktop browser with no issue. April 2025: issue above is still happening.

Can't even log in. Something must have been broken in a recent update, because I never used to have this issue. I type in my credentials, then enter the code sent via text then get caught in an infinite loading loop. Aside from this, app notification verification has been broken for awhile for me. Always says it has sent it to another device..but my phone should be my only device set up for these notifications. Workaround for this was using text verification instead but now can't log in at all.
