2.9 Samsung Smart View - Cast To is a versatile app that transforms your mobile device into a powerful media hub, allowing you to stream content seamlessly to your Samsung Smart TV or compatible devices. Here are some of its standout features:
As a regular user of the Samsung Smart View - Cast To app, I’ve found it to be incredibly useful in various scenarios. One of my favorite uses is during family gatherings. We often have relatives over, and instead of passing around my phone to show pictures from our last vacation, I simply cast them to the TV. Everyone can see the images clearly, and it sparks conversations and laughter.
Another scenario is during my work-from-home days. I often have video calls with my team, and instead of squinting at my laptop screen, I cast the call to my TV. This not only makes it easier to see everyone but also creates a more engaging atmosphere. It feels more like being in the office, and I can even take notes on my phone while keeping an eye on the meeting.
The user interface of Samsung Smart View is sleek and straightforward. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that makes it easy to navigate through my media library. The workflow is seamless; I can quickly select what I want to cast, whether it’s a video, photo, or music playlist. The performance is impressive as well—there’s minimal lag when casting, and the quality of the stream is consistently high. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The app has become an essential part of my daily routine, enhancing how I share and enjoy content with others.
Samsung Smart View - Cast To is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users looking for a cost-effective solution to enhance their viewing experience. While there are no hidden fees or premium features that require payment, the app does rely on your existing internet connection, so ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi network for the best performance.
The app receives regular updates, which is crucial for maintaining compatibility with new devices and improving performance. Samsung provides a dedicated support section within the app, making it easy to find help if you encounter any issues. Additionally, the community forums are a great resource for troubleshooting and tips from other users. Overall, I feel confident knowing that Samsung is committed to keeping the app up-to-date and user-friendly.
When it comes to security and privacy, Samsung Smart View - Cast To takes several measures to protect its users. The app is available on official app stores, such as the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that you’re downloading a legitimate version. During the registration process, the app requires minimal personal data, which is a relief for privacy-conscious users. You can use the app without providing extensive personal information, making it accessible and secure.
However, like many apps, it does collect some data for functionality and improvement purposes. Samsung has a clear privacy policy that outlines what data is collected and how it is used. There are no intrusive ads or excessive tracking behavior, which is a significant plus for users who are wary of their online privacy. Overall, I feel secure using the app, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

The "About This App" indicates there's in-app purchases available. What they don't say is it's not just available, it's REQUIRED. You're unable to use the app until you subscribe at a ridiculous price. There's a "free to try" offer, but credit card info is still required which means if you forget to cancel then you've just bought it. My phone can cast to a TV but what I wanted was to be able to cast to my Samsung tablet. For an app called Samsung Smart Viewer, it was unable to detect my tablet.

Ridiculous amount of ads, with varying and unclear ways to skip them. Expect an ad after every tap on the app... Two of the seven ads I saw in the one minute of use had big "open" buttons, that looked like the rest of the app, to try to trick you to click on them. Also - this just opened up my phone's native "cast" feature. You don't need it to connect, and it's not doing anything special. You can edit your notification bar to add that "cast" feature - making this app obsolete.

I was very interested in the claimed ability of the app to cast from my phone to my ROKU TV, however, it didn't cast a damn thing. The app scanned for devices, my TV was listed, with several neighbors' devices. The screen on my TV was taken over by the app, but after trying to view a large number of pictures and videos from my phone, none showed up on my TV, all I got was a message that the file could not be displayed. I uninstalled the app & canceled my subscription. Very disappointing!

didn't work for me & paid $39 for nothing. been looking for a casting/ screen mirroring app that will actually work. the 3 day "trial"period is too short. setttin up to use the app I got called away for an emergency. decided the app wasn't for me. I sent an email asking for a refund & to cancel. but this morning I got notification from Google that it was billed for $39.05. plus fees. later I did get a notification from Google that the $39.05 was refunded.

If I could give no stars I would, I paid a year subscription, but still get add and can't mirror my screen, I emailed support over a month ago and still haven't gotten a response. In the app it says to reapply your purchase go to purchases and click on the one you bought, but the only options are weekly and monthly there is no yearly. And the is no customer service option in the app anywhere Edit 2 months 4 emails still no response. Crooks stay away
