4.5 In my daily life, I find myself reaching for the "Self" app in various situations. For example, every morning, I start my day by checking my personalized wellness plan. This helps me set my intentions and goals for the day ahead. During my lunch break at work, I often take a few minutes to engage in a guided meditation session offered by the app, which helps me recharge and refocus for the afternoon. Additionally, on weekends, I use the community feature to join group challenges, which adds a fun and competitive element to my fitness routine. These scenarios have seamlessly integrated the app into my life, making wellness a priority.
The user interface of "Self" is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my daily goals and progress at a glance. The workflow is straightforward; I can easily switch between my wellness plan, community discussions, and expert resources without feeling overwhelmed. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly, with minimal loading times, which is crucial when I’m trying to squeeze in a quick meditation session. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The app feels like a personal coach, guiding me through my wellness journey with ease and encouragement.
"Self" offers a free version with basic features, which is a great way to get started. However, for those looking to unlock the full potential of the app, there’s a premium subscription available. The premium version includes advanced features like personalized coaching and exclusive content from wellness experts. I opted for the premium subscription after a month of using the free version, and I can confidently say it was worth the investment for the additional resources and support.
The developers of "Self" are committed to continuous improvement, regularly rolling out updates that enhance functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed several updates since I started using the app, including new features and bug fixes that have improved performance. Customer support is also commendable; I reached out with a question about my subscription, and the response was prompt and helpful. It’s reassuring to know that the team behind "Self" is dedicated to providing a quality experience for its users.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and "Self" does a commendable job in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, but I appreciated that the app clearly outlined how my data would be used and protected. There are no intrusive ads, and I haven’t noticed any tracking behavior that compromises my privacy. Overall, I feel secure using "Self," knowing that my personal information is handled responsibly.

The app does not have modern notification settings and spams the user with completely unnecessary ads for their credit bulidng services. Even apps that I literally used 10+ years ago had options to customize what notification categories that you might want. For instance, with Self I would love an option to only be able to get notifications when I use my card or when payments are due. Instead there is only one category "General". It is legitimately anti-consumer.

The app is decent. It shows you your balance, your limit, and easy ways to pay your card/ builder account. Some people say they're having a hard time logging in. I've had this account for years and I've never had that problem. The biggest problem I have is in order to un/freeze card, you have to call a number. Personally, I like having the control myself and not having to call someone to freeze or unfreeze my card. All of my other cards have this feature, so why not this one?

I've had Self for years now. I actually started my credit journey here. It's been wonderful. This has been my "go to" credit card choice till this day. I especially love that these are Visa cards which are accepted everywhere. I also enjoy the gradual credit limit increases. I have nothing bad to say. I haven't experienced any weird fees or issues with the app. Also, customer service has been pleasant. I highly recommend this for the credit building and credit cards.

My credit building journey went flawlessly. I was able to take a $300 account all the way up to $950.00 line of credit. My credit score shot up by 160 points by the time I was done. Now i'm comfortably cruising with a somewhat useful credit line. The app;...well, that's another story. It worked great for 7 years. Now i can't log in for the life of me. I've tried everything, Uninstall/reinstall to no avail. If they get the desktop app to work properly, you will have an improved score, for sure!

I love the app..it has really frfr helped me know more about building credit, using credit and budget wisely..Overall I just love it. since I started using it my credit score has gone up so much..and im one weary about putting my info anywhere on anything..it is safe and secure and im getting my credit score up there..and I didn't know if or how I could ever get my score to go up especially with my accounts I had owed from years ago..I definitely definitely recommend..id give 10 stars if I could
