4.3

Using the app with the ULT Field 5. App is good & easy to use. I find the app's "Autostandy" & "Bluetooth Standby" modes not be what I was expecting. "Autostandy" turns the speaker off (including lights) after 15mins of non-operation. Even with "Bluetooth Standby" enabled, the speaker doesn't automatically wake if you start playing music on your phone which is odd. App and/or firmware need updating so the speaker goes into sleep mode (including lights off if on) & wakes when you play music.

I love my Sony headphones, but this app is quite buggy. I typically have two devices hooked up to the headphones at a time, and when I lock the mic/speakers to one of the devices, it will switch to the other one automatically if there is a notification and will not return to the one I "locked" the headphones to. It also won't let me switch back manually, as it says it cannot switch devices during a call, even though it just did. Very frustrating when a really good feature doesn't work at all!

Im going to rate this based on my experience, because everyone knows tech companies are shady. Ever since Sony switched to this app from the previous ones, I have had more issues connecting my wireless headphones and all of the sudden I start having issues with my batteries, it would say is 80% and then I use the headphones and 15 minutes into it or less it says my headphones need to be charged. I never had this problem. I like Sony products, but nowadays I don't know who to trust.

Audio quality is good, battery life is good, but those are the worst control settings I've seen in any headphones. I pressed a button to pause, a couple of seconds later pressed it again to resume playback, and it switches to the next episode! And I can't just keep the pause function, if I want to be able to pause things, I have to have this braindead track changing logic too. Even the cheapest Chinese buds allow to configure those things individually.

One of the worst pieces of software I have ever had the displeasure of using on my phone. I do not want "Speak to Chat" on. Ever. Every time they overhaul the UI for no reason it turns itself back on and I have to find where they put it this time and turn it off after my headphones stop my music randomly. I will be uninstalling this momentarily to see if I can get this to stop happening. This is unfortunately a pattern with Bose products, horrible software and firmware that ruins decent hardware
