3.6 The "Sportsnet" app is a powerhouse for sports enthusiasts, offering a plethora of features that cater to fans of all kinds. Here are some of the core highlights that make this app a must-have for anyone looking to stay connected with their favorite teams and sports.
As a die-hard sports fan, my daily life often revolves around the latest games and news. I typically start my mornings by checking the "Sportsnet" app for any overnight scores or breaking news. During my lunch break, I love to catch up on articles and analysis, which helps me stay informed for conversations with friends. On game nights, I rely on the live streaming feature to watch matches, whether I'm at home or out with friends. The app has become an integral part of my routine, ensuring I never miss a moment of the action.
The user interface of the "Sportsnet" app is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. The home screen presents a clean layout with easy access to live scores, upcoming games, and trending articles. I appreciate how quickly I can switch between different sports and teams without feeling overwhelmed. The performance is impressive; I’ve experienced minimal lag during live streams, even when my internet connection is less than ideal. Overall, using the app feels seamless, and I often find myself spending more time on it than I initially planned, engrossed in the wealth of content available.
The "Sportsnet" app offers a free version that provides access to a significant amount of content, including live scores and articles. However, for those who want the full experience, including live streaming of games, a subscription is required. The pricing is competitive compared to other sports streaming services, and I find it worth every penny, especially during the peak sports seasons.
The app is regularly updated, which is a huge plus. I’ve noticed improvements in streaming quality and new features being added frequently. Customer support is responsive; I once had a question about my subscription, and the support team got back to me within a few hours. This level of service gives me confidence that any issues I encounter will be addressed promptly.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and "Sportsnet" takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, but I appreciated that the app clearly outlined how my data would be used.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I noticed that while the app does display advertisements, they are not overly intrusive. The app also offers options to manage tracking preferences, allowing me to control how my data is used for personalized ads. Overall, I feel secure using the "Sportsnet" app, knowing that my privacy is respected and protected.

I pretty much only use this to watch baseball on my phone (Galaxy A8). Last year, the app was such a battery hog it drained the battery even with the phone plugged in, and the phone got extremely hot. Updated today to watch some spring training, and it seems they fixed the battery issue...by not preventing the phone from sleeping. I suppose the battery won't run out as fast with the phone asleep!

for the price of this service, it's absolute garbage. streaming just feels so bad. 720p picture, always freezing or disconnecting. Drops Chromecast, gets simplified and features removed. Not to mention that Sportsnet Central is so much worse now. 63% increase in price in two years and nothing to show for it.

You can't sign into different versions of the app (ie. if you get the app through ios or android play store, you can't sign into the app on your smart tv that's a different version, so you have to cast). It's one of the most expensive streaming apps for what you get. And they don't make it easy to cancel the subscription.

first of all it doesn't work well at all on your TV device, it should work on all device if you're subscribed to it, I brought it separately without a Cogeco subscription in Windsor Ontario, when I finally get in after spending almost an hour to sign into Sportsnet and to get it to play every time I turn it on to watch it just horrible once I get the picture and finally get in the picture is bad, buffers it's not my television the sound goes in and out, screen goes black, it's bad.

This is, by far, the worst streaming app out of all sports apps, especially for the cost. As many others said, you open the app after loading the game you are watching. it will crash. Constantly lagging no matter the internet speed and constantly cuts out for no reason. All while casting. now sure how Rogers can have so much money and choose not to put any into the development of their app that allows millions to watch. Just lucky they own the broadcasting rights to many sports here in Canada.
