"Star Traders: Frontiers" is a captivating space exploration game that combines strategy, trading, and combat in a richly detailed universe. Here are some of its standout features:

  • Dynamic Space Exploration: The game offers a vast universe filled with procedurally generated star systems. As a player, I often find myself charting new routes and discovering hidden planets, which keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting.

I'd say it's a good game, but the game balance is shot. The mini games that command your attention don't provide the same benefits in a mission as outside of one- spying for example doesn't provide access to new contacts unless its in mission. The game has game ending fights in random encounters, and you may not attempt to run. The difficulty in the tutorial mission ramps up past the starting ships capabilities. I wish I liked this more.

Following all these glowing reviews, I was eager to dive into a rich, immersive gameplay experience. While there's plenty of layered elements to micromanage... I'm surprised by how repetitive and tedious the core mechanics feel so far. Likewise, I'm struggling to remain invested in the storylines, characters, and factions. I'll try a couple more runs for having paid. It's worth supporting, devs have obviously poured a lot of dedicated efforts into this game. It's just not for me, unfortunately.

What a fantastic game... Deep, still evolving tactics, strategy and story elements. This isn't a shallow, 15 minute experience. This is a full ship and crew RPG set in an open sandbox universe. The map manages to feel alive, and the more story elements the Dev adds the more engaging the game is. Meaningful achievement unlocks creates a powerful motivation to improve. One of my favorite games on any platform. Fair warning, you're going to fail hard before you get things figured out.

Honestly the game caught me off guard. There is a little bit of a learning curve if you want to play on the higher difficulties but outside of that u can wing it. You want to be a bounty hunter? Go for it. You want to explore planets hunting aliens for illegal artifacts? Do it. You want to trade rare goods through an established network of contacts. Sure thing. Story lines for each "chapter" are interesting too. Which is rare for space sandboxes.

This is hands down the best mobile game I've found yet. It is deep and exciting, fun and challenging. It reminds me of Master of Orion and other great scifi 90s games. This one has great depth with the ship and crew combat systems, tons and tons of ways to develop your own play style. But it isnt so finicky that you need a degree in astro engineering to figure it out. The graphics are great for mobile, with way more variety than I've seen in any other game of this type. Keep up the great work!
