3.7 Stash: Investing made easy is a user-friendly app designed to simplify the investment process for everyone, from beginners to seasoned investors. Here are some of its standout features:
As someone who juggles a busy work schedule and personal commitments, I often find myself looking for ways to streamline my financial management. Stash has become an integral part of my daily routine. For instance, during my lunch breaks, I take a few minutes to check my portfolio performance and make small adjustments based on market trends. On weekends, I dive deeper into the educational resources to enhance my understanding of investment strategies. Whether I’m on the go or relaxing at home, Stash fits seamlessly into my lifestyle, making investing feel less daunting and more engaging.
The user interface of Stash is clean, intuitive, and visually appealing. Navigating through the app is a breeze, with clearly labeled sections that guide you through your investment journey. I particularly appreciate the dashboard, which provides a snapshot of my portfolio performance, recent transactions, and educational content tailored to my interests. The feature workflow is smooth; for example, when I want to invest in a new stock, the process is straightforward—just a few taps, and I’m done! Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any lag, which is crucial for me as I often check it during busy moments. Overall, my experience with Stash has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has transformed my approach to investing from intimidating to enjoyable.
Stash offers a tiered pricing model that caters to different user needs. The basic plan starts at just $1 per month, which is incredibly affordable for anyone looking to dip their toes into investing. As you progress and require more features, you can opt for higher tiers that provide additional benefits, such as retirement accounts and advanced investment options. I find this pricing structure to be fair, especially considering the value I receive from the app.
Stash is committed to improving its platform, and I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance functionality and user experience. The support team is responsive and helpful; I once had a question about my account, and I received a prompt reply via their in-app chat feature. Additionally, the app provides a comprehensive FAQ section that addresses common concerns, making it easy to find answers without needing to reach out directly.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to financial apps. Stash is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide personal information, including my name, email, and social security number, which is standard for financial services. However, I appreciate that Stash employs bank-level encryption to protect my data, giving me peace of mind.
Moreover, Stash does not bombard users with ads, which is a significant plus in my book. Instead, the app focuses on providing a clean user experience without unnecessary distractions. I also noticed that Stash is transparent about its data tracking practices, allowing users to opt-out of certain tracking features if they choose. This level of transparency is refreshing and reinforces my trust in the app.

They try to make it impossible to close your account. After digging to find a path to close my account I was offered a better monthly rate and declined. I went through more screens, chose the payout info ( very little), and hit submit. Then i got the "your account is not able to be closed at this time." I bet the app works when it's time to take my payment. I have to send an email to get help. Guess I will pay the bank to stop payments to them. Frustrated!

I am glad I dont see an insane amount of apps. It was a little difficult at first to find my transaction history for my portfolio. Thats why its 4 and not five stars. I love the app though. Edit 02/06/2025: Hey Stash, something has happened to the app on Android. I suddenly can't login and I get an error message about invalid routing. I took a screen shot. I can't even login.

This Platform steals from you simply by not confirming the time of the trade execution. They just execute, take off how much they can, fix a price then send the confirmation. The claimed reason is that it's not a day trade platform and there are four trading windows. Ok, that's fine but just be clear and send the confirmation right after the execution of the trade!!

Used this app for many years. recently, the basic portfolio analysis features have been replaced by a slow, annoying AI chatbot. Today I received an email that my monthly subscription would QUADRUPLE in two days. That was the last straw, and my account is now closed. Stash has become just another anti-consumer company that exists to squeeze every last dime from its customers. There are completely free options out there. $12 per month for incredibly basic investing features is ridiculous.

What used to be good is gone. I joined this app a few years ago and it was great. Stock parties, maintenance wasn't bad, and stress free investing. Was never a huge fan of how to navigate the accounts on the app or website, but I figured that out... mostly. Now they have jacked up the price and no longer send working messages about stock parties. Can't even find them. Honestly, for the low return of what is invested. No longer worth it. I will be cancelling as it just gets worse.
