the icon had such a cute pixel art style and the pictures on the app install page were so cute that the actual art style is jarringly ugly by comparison. its fine, I guess, but not really my thing. The art style difference between male and female characters is comical, clearly geared toward the male gaze. apart from that it is a number go up kinda game.

(Alert for the people working on the game. I can not open the app and even clearing the cache did no good. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the game. I get an alert saying a bug is preventing it from loading.) There have been a lot of improvements since my last review post. And new content. Some stuff is not available till later in the game. Game-breaking bug that prevents it from activating and loading.

I really loved this game when I first started. It didn't take much to get the items in the minigames, maybe a few bucks but now you have to spend $100 to even get close, there is no way to get the outfits otherwise. Takes 45 of the item to redeem for the outfit but they only offer the opportunity to collect 20. Then they offer little amounts of the item but it is too expensive. I wish the game went back to the way it was before they got greedy. I also loathe the cross server stuff.

This game feels actively hostile toward free to play players. If you don't spend your life savings on it you'll never beat a player that does. You'll never get the best event rewards. You'll never be as good. You need to spend up to 60 USD on an event just to unlock one character or upgrade. The gameplay isn't even all that interesting. The same several events repeat constantly, and many are just slight variations of others. Not worth the time or money.

It's fun for a while, the art is nice, but it's obscene how much of a blatant cash grab this game is. Want to use multiple of something at once instead of tapping 300+ times? There's an option for that, but you have to pay or be really high level. Think you can get that new event character/attire just by playing the event? Not gonna happen unless you dig out your credit card.
