3.7 Xfinity is not just your average app; it’s a comprehensive tool that enhances your digital experience, especially if you’re already an Xfinity customer. Here are some of its standout features:
As a busy professional and a parent, I find myself using the Xfinity app in various scenarios throughout my day. Mornings are often hectic, and while I prepare breakfast, I like to catch up on the news via the live TV feature. It’s a great way to stay informed without sacrificing time. During my lunch breaks, I often dive into on-demand content, allowing me to unwind with a quick episode of a series I’m following. Even in the evenings, when the kids are asleep, I use the app to explore new movies or shows, making it a versatile companion for my daily routine.
The user interface of the Xfinity app is intuitive and visually appealing. Navigating through the various sections feels seamless, and I appreciate how quickly I can find what I’m looking for. The feature workflow is straightforward; for instance, accessing my account settings or searching for content is just a few taps away. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without lag, which is crucial when I’m trying to watch something in real-time. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as the app has become an integral part of my daily entertainment and account management.
Xfinity offers a range of pricing plans depending on the services you choose. While the app itself is free to download and use, the cost of your subscription will vary based on the internet and TV packages you select. I find that the value I get from the services justifies the price, especially with the convenience the app provides in managing everything from one place.
Xfinity frequently updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in streaming quality and additional content options with each update. Customer support is also readily available through the app, making it easy to resolve any issues. I once had a minor technical glitch, and the support team was quick to respond, guiding me through the troubleshooting process efficiently.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Xfinity takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During registration, I was required to provide personal data, including my name, email, and address, which is standard for account creation. However, I appreciate that Xfinity has clear privacy policies in place, detailing how my information is used and protected.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I’ve noticed that the app does not bombard me with excessive advertisements, which is a relief. While it does track some usage data to enhance my experience, I feel comfortable knowing that Xfinity prioritizes user privacy and offers options to manage my data preferences. Overall, I feel secure using the Xfinity app, knowing that my information is handled responsibly.

3/13/26 update, the app is still awful. you'd think they have it fixed by now. You can't use the app to do anything, but look at your amt owed and talk to a bot. I'm so close to canceling my entire xfinity accounts (cable, landline, internet and cell phone) because I can't get into the app & you can never talk to a live person when you call.

The app is useless when there's an Internet issue. If you're connected to wi-fi when your gateway is down, the app won't connect at all. If you disconnect from wi-fi, the app runs, and tells you your internet is fine. It is absolute garbage for troubleshooting. Edit 01/09/23 Now it just constantly crashes. They made it even more useless. Edit 03/18/25 Yep, still useless and constantly lies about network quality and speeds.

The app is slow and buggy still, it's honestly atrocious that an internet company can't make a polished app. 3 years later: The app is a full scale advertisement for services you don't want, and never use. Enjoy paying for an unlimited plan because they don't offer less, unhappy about it because I don't really need to be paying this much for the very low amount of data I use. On the bright side they can only guarantee that the price remains locked in for 5 years. Optimum for no one... but them.

This app is as trash as the company it's for. 75% of the time that I use it to pay my bill there's a problem. it won't load, gives me errors, freezes. and now it forced me to update but won't open because it still says I need to update it 🥴 its almost like you don't want my money or something. or maybe you just don't care that you're providing a terrible experience for everything you offer.

I need to kick devices from a former roommate off my network and rename the ones I still have. Can't do it on the website or admin access site. It forces me to use the app, then says "something went wrong" anytime I try to rename a device. I deleted it and re downloaded the app, restarted my modem, etc and no luck. Not being able to manage my devices easily is a security issue. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
