3.4 XMEye is a powerful surveillance app that has transformed the way I monitor my home and business. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it stands out in the crowded field of security applications. Here are some of the core features that make XMEye a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their security:
As a working professional and a parent, I often find myself juggling multiple responsibilities. XMEye has become an essential tool in my daily life. For instance, when I’m at the office, I can easily check in on my kids after school to ensure they’re safe and settled. Additionally, I use the app to monitor my home when I’m traveling for work. Knowing that I can access live feeds from my security cameras gives me peace of mind, especially when I’m away for extended periods.
The user interface of XMEye is one of its standout features. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean and organized layout that makes it easy to navigate through different camera feeds. The workflow is seamless; I can switch between live views and recorded footage with just a few taps. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any lag, even when streaming high-definition video. Overall, my experience with XMEye has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s reliable, efficient, and has truly simplified the way I manage my home security.
XMEye is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious users. While there are premium features available, the basic functionalities are sufficient for most users. I appreciate that I can access essential features without any upfront costs, making it an attractive option for anyone looking to enhance their security without breaking the bank.
The developers of XMEye are proactive in providing updates and support. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance the app’s functionality and security features. Additionally, their customer support is responsive and helpful. I once had a question about setting up a new camera, and their support team guided me through the process quickly and efficiently. This level of service adds to my overall satisfaction with the app.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to using surveillance apps like XMEye. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. However, it does require registration and personal data, including an email address and phone number, to create an account. While this is standard for many apps, I always recommend being cautious about sharing personal information.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I’ve noticed minimal intrusive advertising while using XMEye, which is a relief. The app does not seem to engage in excessive tracking, allowing me to use it without feeling like my data is being exploited. Overall, I feel secure using XMEye, but I always encourage users to read the privacy policy and understand how their data is being used.

Real time viewing works fine. The ability to review video, the main reason I bought a video security system, is HORRIBLE. On your mobile device you can only go back to the previous midnight (why????). On both mobile device and base station there is no fast forward. Supposedly video can be set to movement activated. There are no specific instructions of how to do this, however. And, it is not intuitively obvious. Phone app stopped working. Uninstalled, unable to reinstall...aaargh!!

This app just keeps getting worse. It was never great, but at least I could see my cameras no matter where I was. Then they added an annoying add screen that slows the process-- particularly obnoxious when you're trying to get into your system quickly. Now... Now it doesn't even work. All cameras show as loading, but never do despite the system being fine otherwise.

The app works well with my cheap Canavis DVR, and I have been using it for years. I recently discovered that the ads (specifically the full-page, unskipable one when you first open the app) can be turned off in the settings which was a huge relief. I never really minded the small banner ads, but being able to disable the startup ad was a major improvement.

It's been working great for months now. So it updated yesterday. Now it's slow! Controls make no sense and do nothing. I regularly look at one camera. Now it's taking a long time to pull up. 2 mins? is way to long. Put it back. This is terrible! If my system didn't require this app I would look elsewhere after 4 hours of getting nowhere with it now.

Very good but has some annoying quirks 1. no synchronous playback when playing back multiple camera feeds. 2. What have you done to the PTZ controls? The controls are overly sensitive to the point of unusable, pressing any control for a millisecond causes the camera to pan/tilt uncontrollably for 20 seconds. Full screen controller works OK ... but lacks zoom control. A PTZ control speed slider would be ideal. Other than that it's great ....
