Adobe Acrobat Reader: Edit PDF is a powerful app that allows users to view, annotate, and edit PDF documents seamlessly. With its intuitive interface, you can easily modify text, add images, and fill out forms on the go. Whether you're reviewing important documents or collaborating with others, this app provides essential tools to enhance your productivity. Experience the convenience of managing your PDFs anytime, anywhere, with Adobe's trusted technology.

Features & Highlights

Adobe Acrobat Reader: Edit PDF is a powerful tool that transforms the way we interact with PDF documents. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-have for anyone dealing with PDFs regularly:

  • Edit Text and Images: This feature allows users to modify text and images directly within a PDF. For instance, I recently had to update a client proposal that was in PDF format. With just a few taps, I was able to change the project timeline and replace an outdated image, making the document current without needing to start from scratch.
  • Annotate and Comment: The app provides a robust set of annotation tools, enabling users to highlight, underline, and add comments. During a team meeting, I shared a PDF report and used the annotation feature to highlight key points and add comments for my colleagues, making our discussion more productive.
  • Fill and Sign Forms: Adobe Acrobat Reader simplifies the process of filling out forms. I often receive contracts that require my signature. With this app, I can fill in the necessary fields and sign the document digitally, saving time and eliminating the need for printing.
  • Cloud Integration: The app seamlessly integrates with Adobe Document Cloud, allowing users to access their PDFs from anywhere. I often switch between my laptop and mobile device, and having my documents synced means I can continue working on the go without missing a beat.
  • PDF Conversion: This feature allows users to convert PDFs into editable formats like Word or Excel. I recently needed to extract data from a PDF report for a presentation. With a few clicks, I converted the PDF into an Excel file, making it easy to manipulate the data as needed.

Real Experience Using "Adobe Acrobat Reader: Edit PDF"

Application Scenarios

As a freelance graphic designer, I frequently encounter various PDF documents, from contracts to design proofs. One of the most common scenarios where I use Adobe Acrobat Reader is when I receive client feedback on design drafts. Instead of going back and forth via email, I can open the PDF, annotate it with my comments, and send it back for further discussion. Additionally, I often need to fill out forms for project proposals or invoices. The ability to fill and sign documents directly within the app has streamlined my workflow significantly.

User Experience

The user interface of Adobe Acrobat Reader is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean layout that makes navigation a breeze. The toolbar is well-organized, allowing me to access editing, annotation, and sharing features quickly. The performance is impressive; documents load swiftly, and editing tools respond seamlessly. I particularly appreciate the ability to zoom in on documents for precise editing, which is crucial when working with detailed designs. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as the app has become an essential part of my daily routine.

Pricing

Adobe Acrobat Reader offers a free version that includes basic features, but for those who need advanced functionalities like editing and converting PDFs, a subscription is required. The pricing is competitive, with monthly and annual plans available. I find the investment worthwhile, especially considering the time and effort saved in managing my documents efficiently.

Updates & Support

Adobe frequently updates the app, introducing new features and improvements based on user feedback. I appreciate the regular updates, as they enhance the app's functionality and security. Additionally, Adobe provides robust customer support, with a comprehensive help center and community forums where users can find answers to common questions. I’ve reached out for assistance once, and the response was prompt and helpful.

Security & Privacy Review

When it comes to security and privacy, Adobe Acrobat Reader takes user concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. Upon installation, users are required to create an Adobe ID, which involves providing some personal information. However, Adobe has a strong privacy policy that outlines how user data is handled, giving me peace of mind.

Importantly, the app does not bombard users with ads, which is a significant plus in today’s app landscape. Additionally, Adobe has implemented measures to prevent unauthorized access to documents, ensuring that sensitive information remains secure. Overall, I feel confident using Adobe Acrobat Reader, knowing that my data is protected while I manage my PDFs.

they want $15 a month or $70 a year just to be able to edit text in a pdf. the best part is the text editing is terrible. if you add a new line, the layout does not update and it just overlays the other text in the pdf. plus, all changes you make are automatically saved with no backup and no way to undo them except manually. don't expect anything less from adobe: high priced software that doesn't function well

I gave this app only 2 stars because, even though the app functions well, it tried to bill me through the Google play store almost 2 weeks early. That has never happened before with any app. Also, it makes other apps like my Google drive not function efficiently. I eventually had to uninstall it. This is in response to your reply to my review: When I try to open a document or download, even share a file on my Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat Reader opens instead. I can't use any other app basically

It's clunky and doesn't like to cooperate. The version from a few years ago was simpler and worked better. As a PDF editor, it used to be easier to resize text being typed and to add check marks to boxes. Changing the check mark size was also possible and useful because now the default is a tiny mark that's barely visible. Oftentimes, less is more for certain kinds of apps and this is one of those apps in my opinion. Thanks!

The detailed description says that Read Aloud is free with the lower quality voices, but that's not true. It read aloud to me the first time, but the next time I went to listen, it said I had to upgrade and none of the free voices were options. Adobe does this bait and switch often and it's made it so I won't purchase their service (they also say on the web that you can merge documents for free, but they mean with the free app you can do it if you pay for it). "Choose free voices or upgrade"

software is nice, I can't afford it! I've been looking and been unable to cancel my subscription. Im hoping to be able to cover the one document with one purchase, however I'm not able to cover the reoccurring payments, yet alone stop them. I would've rate this high, however, I felt mislead. could we settle with me paying for the one day 3/20/2026 the beginning of the 7 day free trial. Need to cancel, I don't have enough funds
