Bait and switch advertising. Saw an ad for the game, so downloaded it and played for 15 min. to ensure my review wasn't made in haste. The advertisement was for a very basic game. Perfect for me, who just wants something to pick up and mindlessly play from time to time. The actual game is fairly fleshed out, and a lot more complex/involved. It's seems well made, and even has voice overs. But the 1 star review is for the bait and switch advertising tactics. Ruined it for me. Undownloaded.

I downloaded this game because of an offer to earn game-cash on a different app, and it's surprisingly fun. I've played a lot of city builders, but this one incorporates mini games in a way that's more varied and more optional than others. Some of the mini games aren't as good as others (sorry, Train Race, you are boring) but overall they're well done. This isn't another fantasy/zombie game that forces you to watch cut scenes, so I appreciate the novelty there, and getting to just play.

Bait and switch don't download. This game has several issues. For one it isn't what it advertised itself as. It's one of those tower capture games but also one of those grow your settlement games. It's incredibly handholdy, slow, and doesn't know what it wants to be. The games devs reply to negative comments stating this and say something along the lines of just wait and you'll be rewarded with a unique experience. Guessing you dump hrs in and then they let you have what was in the ads.

If you enjoy being endlessly presented with "buy this outrageously priced in game currency" every few seconds, this game is for you. If you want ads on top of that, this game is for you. If you want something you only pay a very small price for in comparison only once and enjoy endlessly, play PC games for significantly higher quality, significantly less buggy, excessively less expensive entertainment. Don't count on support in this game either, greed is all that there is available.

So far the game has been just like I expected, games are never like what you see in the ads so I don't know why people expect that. I didn't know it was a build up, rpg type.. that's a plus. I'm glad there's more to it than just running around gathering bananas and punching other apes. It is possible to play 100% free but it does make it difficult if you're playing on a time limit (i.e through a gaming offer app). So far, I like it and will continue until it becomes monotonous.
