2.5 AMC+ is a streaming service that combines the best of AMC's original programming with a selection of films and exclusive content. Here are some of its standout features:
My experience with the AMC+ app has been nothing short of delightful. I often find myself using it during my downtime, whether I’m lounging on the couch after a long day or waiting for my coffee to brew in the morning. One of my favorite scenarios is when I’m winding down for the night. I’ll grab a snack, settle into my favorite chair, and dive into an episode of "Better Call Saul." The app’s seamless interface makes it easy to navigate through seasons and episodes, allowing me to quickly find what I want to watch.
The user interface of AMC+ is sleek and intuitive. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a visually appealing layout that showcases featured content and recommendations based on my viewing history. The workflow is smooth; I can easily browse through categories or search for specific titles. I’ve noticed that the app performs exceptionally well, with minimal buffering even during peak hours. Overall, my feelings after using the app are overwhelmingly positive. The combination of high-quality content and a user-friendly interface makes for an enjoyable viewing experience.
AMC+ offers a competitive pricing structure that provides great value for the content available. As of now, the subscription is priced at around $8.99 per month, which I find reasonable considering the exclusive shows and movies I have access to. Additionally, there are often promotional offers for new subscribers, making it even more enticing to give it a try.
The app is regularly updated, which is a significant plus. I’ve noticed improvements in loading times and new features being added, such as enhanced search capabilities. Customer support is also commendable; I had a minor issue with my account, and the response time was quick and helpful. It’s reassuring to know that the developers are actively working to enhance the user experience.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, including AMC+. The app is available on official app stores like the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of trust. When registering, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my email address and payment details. However, I appreciate that AMC+ has a clear privacy policy outlining how my data is used and protected.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, AMC+ is ad-free, which is a significant advantage. I feel more secure knowing that my viewing habits aren’t being tracked for advertising purposes. Overall, I believe AMC+ takes user privacy seriously, which is a crucial factor for me when choosing a streaming service.

BEWARE DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!!!!! This is literally the only app or streaming service I've ever heard of that does not work on consoles (the only way like half of the US watches them) which could be tolerable, but the mobile app does not work at all! They make it so difficult to cancel that it becomes one of those background purchases you absolutely never use but causes so much frustration when attempting to unsubscribe that you rage quit and they make more money. Save your money if you value it!!!!

I hate this app! when ever I pause a show for longer than a min it stops working. when I push play again I get the oops something went wrong error message. sometimes going to a different app like Netflix and playing a show there for a few seconds b4 I jump back will fix it. Most of the time however, I have to completely sign out of the app and sign back in again. Don't tell me it's my internet speed. I got gig speed and all the other streaming apps work just fine.

The format of this app is not great. There isn't an option to select "next episode" so you have to fast forward through the credits to get to the next one. Also if I want to navigate to a specific season and episode you have to go through a whole search process just to do that instead of just being able to pull up a menu to the side/bottom of the show. Not user friendly in my opinion.

It has a lot of great stuff to stream, but it doesn't have closed captioning available in the Roku app that I can find. It does have it for the mobile app. I prefer to watch on the tv, though, and I need subtitles. It seems like there have been a lot of updates to the service, even very recently. It works perfectly fine on my Roku tv. I still did not find an app for my console, so I had to dig out our old Roku dongle for the other tv. I also have not had issues with it crashing like others.

AMC keeps trying to charge me even though I do not have an active subscription. They have tried to charge me as recently as yesterday. And I can't cancel because it shows I do NOT have an active subscription. *update 06/20/26 Yes, I did have an issue last year, but I actually love this platform and the shows on it. I just signed up for a free trial, but I was a little annoyed that I could not use any of the 30 day free trial promo codes. That being said, it's definitely worth the $12 a month.
