4.4 Any.do - To do list & Calendar is a powerful productivity tool that seamlessly integrates task management with calendar functionalities. Here are some of its standout features:
As a busy professional juggling multiple projects, Any.do has become my go-to app for managing my daily tasks and appointments. Every morning, I start my day by reviewing my tasks and calendar events. For example, I often have client meetings scheduled alongside project deadlines. By using Any.do, I can see all my commitments in one place, allowing me to prioritize my tasks effectively. Additionally, I use the app to plan my personal life, from grocery shopping lists to scheduling family events, ensuring that I maintain a healthy work-life balance.
The user interface of Any.do is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through tasks and calendar events. The workflow is seamless; I can quickly add tasks, set due dates, and even categorize them into different lists. The performance is impressive, with the app running smoothly without any lag, even when I have numerous tasks loaded. I particularly appreciate the drag-and-drop feature for rearranging tasks, which adds a level of flexibility to my planning. Overall, my experience with Any.do has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has significantly improved my productivity and organization.
Any.do offers a free version that includes essential features, but for those looking for more advanced functionalities, there’s a premium subscription available. The premium version unlocks features like unlimited collaboration, custom themes, and additional reminders. I find the pricing reasonable considering the value it provides, especially for someone like me who relies heavily on task management tools.
The developers of Any.do are proactive in rolling out updates that enhance the app's functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed several improvements since I started using it, including better integration with other apps and enhanced collaboration features. Customer support is also commendable; I reached out with a query once, and they responded promptly with helpful information. This level of support gives me confidence in the app’s reliability.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when choosing an app like Any.do. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, but I appreciated that the app allows for some level of anonymity by not requiring excessive data. Importantly, Any.do does not display ads, which is a relief, as many apps monetize through intrusive advertising. However, it’s worth noting that the app may collect usage data to improve its services, but I found their privacy policy transparent and reassuring. Overall, I feel secure using Any.do, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

This is is mostly great, but there are tradeoffs that seem arbitrary and annoying. For example, if I make a new list, it suddenly populates on "next 7 days" which is the most useful view, but cluttered with things that don't necessarily apply. Grocery list on desktop allows subtasks, but you can't view them on mobile, so what's the point?

It used to be simple and effective, but it now has the most loud and obnoxious ads. Beware of opening this app in a class, library, church service, or any other quiet setting that you'll happen to need your lists or notes. It will advertise to everyone around you. I will be uninstalling this app. There are plenty of to-do list apps out there. You don't have to settle for this one. Edit: My phone is always on silent mode so that has not worked. I found another free app that works great! Thanks!

I used to love this app and recommend it to friends regularly. The updates have made it harder to use. I don't need anything fancy. I just need a list. I don't want to clear or uncheck all items on my grocery list, I just want to go through it and untick the ones I need today. I regret ever using the 'smart' grocery list bc now, even though I have turned it off, it won't revert to basic and my list is essentially useless.

I've had this app for years but I feel like I can't trust it in 2 situations. If I set a reminder & then I have to 'snooze' the reminder either an hr later or the next day, or whatever.... it is successful in doing that, but if I hit the snooze more than 2 or 3 times, then the reminder becomes unreliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Also, if I set monthly reminders, it will work, & then not work! I just missed paying a bill, b/c I didn't get my monthly reminder. Frustrasting!!

I want a day planner that lets me set a time for tasks without there always being a reminder notification. This app can't seem to provide that. I'm also not happy with how the free option wasn't made available to me during sign up. Seems fishy to say "free forever" on the homepage, but when it comes to signing up, I only saw a 7 day free trial. The help section was a joke, so I unsubscribed immediately.
