4.6 AppClose: Co-Parent Essentials is designed to simplify the often complex dynamics of co-parenting. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it provides a comprehensive solution for parents navigating shared responsibilities. Here are some of the standout features that make this app a must-have for co-parents:
As a co-parent, I often find myself juggling various responsibilities, from school events to medical appointments. One of the most significant challenges I faced was coordinating schedules with my ex-partner. Before discovering AppClose, we relied on endless text messages and emails, which often led to confusion and missed events. Now, with the shared calendar feature, I can easily input our children's activities, and my co-parent can see them in real-time. For instance, when my child has a soccer game, I simply add it to the calendar, and my ex-partner receives an instant notification. This has drastically reduced the back-and-forth communication and has made planning family activities much smoother.
The user interface of AppClose is intuitive and straightforward, making it easy for anyone to navigate, regardless of their tech-savviness. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean dashboard that clearly displayed the calendar, messages, and expense tracking features. The workflow is seamless; adding events or expenses takes just a few taps. I particularly appreciate the messaging system, which feels secure and private, allowing me to communicate directly with my co-parent without distractions. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any noticeable lag, and I’ve never encountered any crashes. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has significantly reduced stress and improved communication.
AppClose offers a free version with essential features, which is great for those just starting their co-parenting journey. However, for users looking for advanced features like unlimited document sharing and enhanced notifications, there is a premium subscription available. The pricing is reasonable, especially considering the peace of mind and organization it brings to co-parenting. I found the investment worthwhile, as it has saved me time and reduced conflicts.
The developers of AppClose are committed to continuous improvement, regularly releasing updates that enhance functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed several updates since I started using the app, each one addressing user feedback and adding new features. Customer support is also commendable; I had a minor issue with syncing my calendar, and their support team responded promptly and resolved the issue within a day. This level of support gives me confidence in the app's reliability.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to apps that handle sensitive information. AppClose is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, but the app emphasizes data protection and does not sell user data to third parties. I appreciate that there are no intrusive ads or tracking behavior, which can often compromise user privacy. The app’s developers have implemented strong encryption protocols to safeguard our conversations and shared documents, ensuring that our co-parenting discussions remain confidential. Overall, I feel secure using AppClose, knowing that my personal information is protected.

Love the app. Lots of glitches. This past week I keep getting no internet errors when I try to do anything on it despite me having internet. I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it won't even let me log in because I'm getting a no internet error. Sometimes it won't let me add events to the calendar and just gives me a loading symbol.

Been using it for months and all of the sudden it started saying "no internet connection" which I knew was not correct. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall but now when I get to the add phone number to receive a verification link I also get the "no internet connection". Now I've lost months of communication between my ex and I that would've been helpful in my up coming court. I would not recommend this app, it was a total waste of time.

I've updated the app, however I am still unable to do video calls over normal service that I have to use my wifi to have a stronger connection. We should have the ability to screen record our video calls. In case something occurs during video call and courts and lawyers would be able to have access to video calls. The app needs more work and figure out the kinks.

It's Free - I'll stick with it. But it's not the most user friendly and doesn't have much in the way of instructions.. I would love to see a 'Search' features in the chat section. Also, there is nothing that shows whether or not you have shared something with a co-parent and confirms whether or not they've seen it/accepted it. I think this would be an invaluable feature. Additionally, the child profile sections could be a little more user-friendly. Once you have more than one 'note' in a section, you can't always scroll to the next or last note. UPDATE: so it appears that you can search but you have to act like you want to export the chats first. It was not user-friendly and there are no directions. The developer stated you can see confirmations if sent requests but tha is not what I was referring to. I believe that we should see confirmation of everything that is sent to and received by the co-parent so that we have a record of what notes, medical items, etc were shared and received so there is not question of what items were shared/received and when.

Poor. Rather than complete video calls, continually prompts for access to a Bluetooth device. I can neither make nor accept calls without that message appearing. I don't use a bluetooth device. Major net negative. When I try to make video calls, it also says "calling null." Based on user comments and creators' copy-paste replies, seems like the app creators have little ability / interest in supporting the app or working out glitches.
