3.2 Audacy: Radio & Sports Talk is a versatile app that brings a world of audio entertainment right to your fingertips. With its user-friendly interface and a plethora of features, it stands out in the crowded field of radio and podcast applications. Here are some of the core features that make Audacy a must-have for audio enthusiasts:
My daily routine is often hectic, but Audacy has seamlessly woven itself into my life. I typically start my day with a cup of coffee while listening to the morning news on my favorite local station. The app’s live radio feature allows me to stay updated on current events without having to scroll through social media. During my commute, I switch to a sports talk show to catch up on the latest trades and game analyses. The on-demand podcast feature comes in handy during my lunch breaks, where I can dive into a true crime series or a motivational podcast that keeps me inspired throughout the day. Even while cooking dinner, I love to listen to exclusive interviews with my favorite celebrities, making mundane tasks feel more enjoyable.
The user interface of Audacy is intuitive and easy to navigate. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that showcases live stations, trending podcasts, and my saved favorites. The search function is efficient, allowing me to find specific shows or genres quickly. I appreciate the smooth playback and minimal buffering, which is crucial when I’m on the go. The app’s performance has been reliable, with no crashes or glitches during my usage. Overall, my experience with Audacy has been overwhelmingly positive; it feels like having a personal radio station tailored to my preferences right in my pocket.
Audacy is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious users. While the app does offer premium content and features, the free version provides ample access to live radio and a vast library of podcasts. For those who want an ad-free experience or exclusive content, there are subscription options available, but I find the free version more than sufficient for my needs.
Audacy regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and fix any bugs. I’ve noticed improvements in loading times and the addition of new features over the months. The support team is responsive, and I’ve had a positive experience when reaching out for assistance. The app also provides a comprehensive FAQ section, which is helpful for troubleshooting common issues.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Audacy takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards. When registering, I was only required to provide minimal personal information, which is a relief in today’s data-driven world. Audacy does display ads, but they are not overly intrusive, and I appreciate that the app does not track my behavior excessively. Overall, I feel secure using Audacy, knowing that my personal data is handled with care and that I can enjoy my audio content without compromising my privacy.

2022-Worst app I have ever used!!!! It would just stop live feed every 15 minutes. Now after the update, the app keeps crashing. You have to force stop the app and reopen it. 2025 - Still doing the same thing. While listening, the app will buffer and hours or it will crash. I can listen to iheart radio and and other radio apps and do not have any issues. It is not an internet problem it is an issue with the app. Please fix! It has been over 2 years now.

I only use this app because my favorite sports talk is only on this. The app is shockingly bad. It will randomly cut to a commercial in the middle of a segment, if you leave the car and come back, it will not resume where it left off. Most times, it won't even play. Not just resume play, it won't play period. I'll have to open the app on my phone and navigate to the station and click "listen live" because it just won't work. All this issues occur on iOS and Android. It's hot garbage.

The app often buffers, crashes, and takes a while to launch. There are lots of commercials too. The app could be awesome but it's too buggy. I'm not a tech guy, but it seems like an app like this would run smoothly. It gets confused when using the infotainment in my 2025 truck. I need to use my phone for the app to work reliably. I do like how I can jump straight to show segments or I can resume listening to a show later.

UPDATE: The only fault with this app is that, if I stop the stream for more than a few minutes, it will not pick it up again. it just cycles, like it's trying to play it, but fails. I actually have to reboot my phone before it will work again properly. Annoying. Love that I can listen to 105.9 Orlando wherever I am.

Very annoying app. I only use it for one radio station that doesn't use iHeartRadio. I listen to that station almost every day, yet every few days the app buries that station and forces me to search for it all over again. I assume to try to get me to explore their app. not sure why, don't care. it's annoying. this app sucks. but you're forced to use it for radio stations that sign non-compete contracts with them so they don't use iHeartRadio. pain in the butt. please make your stupid app better.
