4.6 Aura: Meditation & Sleep, CBT is a comprehensive app designed to enhance mental well-being through meditation, sleep aids, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Here are some of its standout features:
In my daily life, I often find myself juggling work, family, and personal commitments, which can lead to overwhelming stress. I typically start my mornings with a quick meditation session on Aura to set a positive tone for the day. During my lunch break, I might use the app to take a few minutes for myself, practicing deep breathing exercises to recharge. On particularly hectic days, I turn to the sleep stories feature at night, allowing me to escape into a calming narrative that helps me unwind and prepare for restful sleep.
The user interface of Aura is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that highlights my daily mood tracker and recommended sessions. The workflow is seamless; I can easily select a meditation or sleep story based on my current emotional state. The performance is impressive, with minimal loading times and smooth transitions between features. After using Aura consistently for a few weeks, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my overall mental clarity and emotional resilience. The app feels like a personal wellness coach, always ready to support me when I need it most.
Aura offers a free trial period, allowing users to explore its features before committing. After the trial, a subscription is required to access the full range of content, which I found to be reasonably priced considering the quality of the sessions and the expertise of the instructors. The subscription model is flexible, with options for monthly or annual payments, making it accessible for various budgets.
The developers of Aura are proactive in providing updates, regularly adding new content and features based on user feedback. I’ve noticed improvements in the app’s performance and the introduction of new meditation sessions that keep the experience fresh. Customer support is responsive and helpful; I reached out once with a question about my subscription, and they addressed my concerns promptly, which left me feeling valued as a user.
As an American user, I prioritize security and privacy when using apps, and Aura does a commendable job in this regard. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards. During registration, I was only required to provide minimal personal data, which is a relief in today’s data-driven world. There are no intrusive ads, and I appreciate that the app does not engage in excessive tracking behavior, allowing me to focus on my mental wellness without distractions. Overall, I feel secure using Aura, knowing that my personal information is handled with care.

WTAF Apparently this app doesn't connect itself to the Google Play Store so there's no warning and no way to track or cancel the subscription to avoid the $130 automatic charge after the trial. I should have put a notification on my calendar but GPS always alerts you for transparency and protection. Also the options are trash, the mediation options are squeaky female voices or men with deviated septums, neither of which I found relaxing so I used it for 20 minutes at the airport.

Good except... I like to listen to the rain sounds to sleep. The app has some great ones. BUT, almost without fail, the tracks will buffer and I'll wake up and have to start the track over. This is very annoying. This is not an issue with my phone. It only happens on this particular app.

I canceled my subscription a year ago. I'm not subscribed through Google Play or PayPal, but I was just charged $69.99 for an app I don't use and am not subscribed to. I don't know how to get my money back or prevent this app from stealing my money in the future. I do NOT recommend using the free trial or subscribing because it seems that you'll be perpetually subscribed regardless of cancelation.

Really enjoying Aura. They have a huge library of meditations, hypnosis, soundscapes, the list goes on! I'm loving how you are able to adjust each session to your liking down to the accent of the the person talking. You can create playlists, download, they offer 1 on 1 coaching. They pretty much have sessions for anything and everything you need in self-help. Definitely recommend.

Very limited. Not a lot of content. Annoying voices. Duration is much too short on most. I am not using the free version. Why would you have a story for falling asleep that's under 10 minutes??? If you can fall asleep that fast you don't need a story for falling asleep 🙄 Filter doesn't filter-if you select don't like the teacher's voice or content not helpful it's still suggests those teachers and the same content. App freezes quite often. 6 chapters avail for 15 ch book. 🙄Can't sign it🙄
