This game is missing a few important features. First, it doesn't have salvo mode (once shot per turn for each ship not destroyed) for the classic game. It doesn't let you turn off the "extra shot if you get a hit" mode. Finally, you can't play against a friend using one device (pass it back and forth). Otherwise, pretty fun.

The game is fun, especially the new commanders mode. However, it never works when attempting to play with friends. My friends and I have cleared our caches and reinstalled the game repeatedly over the last year to attempt to remedy the issues. It constantly fails to actually let us play together and no patch has ever been released to fix this. Incredibly frustrating, if I could get a refund I would.

This game would be given 5 stars, if Marmalade could actually add a simple feature. My biggest problem with this is that, if you want to play with friends you need to get a different device to play, which I wouldn't complain about unless the game is paid, which it is. It's obvious this game is really just out to get money, but it's not very good because already the original game is $10, while you could say it could cost more in all because it's mobile, except that everything the other game has, is already in the game.

03/25/23 Update: Even with new devices, this is still an issue where connection is lost. This game is pretty fun. It's too bad you pay for a game and it doesn't work properly. When playing with friends, the game typically gets screwed up some way or another. It's frustrating because you figure, why even bother when it's just going to crash again. This has been going on for so long, I have my doubts on whether or not it'll ever be fixed. Our phones and tablets are from 2021 and always up to date.

Seems underdeveloped. You constantly get booted off due to phantom connection issues so while the game is fun, its not reliable. For some reason you cant name yourself so you're given some random name. Also, playing online definitely feels like you're just playing the computer which is likely why there's no chat feature. I enjoy the game when it works but the developers should be ashamed for putting something this poor out that you have to pay for. So many free games have 10 times more features.
