2.6 Cox Contour TV is a robust streaming service that offers a variety of features designed to enhance your viewing experience. Here are some of the core highlights that make this app stand out:
As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling work and personal commitments, which makes it challenging to catch my favorite shows live. That's where Cox Contour TV comes into play. I typically use the app during my daily commute. With the live TV streaming feature, I can watch the morning news while on the train, keeping me updated without sacrificing my time. Additionally, on weekends, I love to unwind by binge-watching series from the on-demand library. The flexibility of being able to watch on my tablet or smart TV means I can enjoy my shows wherever I am in the house.
The user interface of Cox Contour TV is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean layout that makes navigation a breeze. The main menu is well-organized, allowing me to quickly access live TV, on-demand content, and my recorded shows. The feature workflow is smooth; for instance, I can easily set up recordings with just a few taps. Performance-wise, the app runs seamlessly, with minimal buffering even during peak hours. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The app not only meets my entertainment needs but also enhances my viewing experience with its personalized recommendations.
Cox Contour TV offers a variety of pricing plans to cater to different viewing preferences. The basic package starts at a competitive rate, providing access to essential channels and features. For those who want more, there are premium options that include additional channels and enhanced features like the Cloud DVR. Overall, I find the pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the extensive content library and the convenience it offers.
Cox is committed to providing regular updates to enhance the app's functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed improvements in the app's performance and new features being added over time. Customer support is readily available through the app, offering assistance for any issues I might encounter. The support team is responsive and helpful, which adds to my overall satisfaction with the service.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using streaming services like Cox Contour TV. The app is available on official app stores, ensuring that I download a legitimate version. During the registration process, I was required to provide some personal information, including my email and payment details. However, I appreciate that Cox has a clear privacy policy outlining how my data is used and protected.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I have noticed some targeted advertisements while using the app. While this is common in many streaming services, I prefer transparency regarding how my viewing habits are tracked. Overall, I feel that Cox Contour TV takes reasonable measures to protect user data, but I always recommend being cautious and reviewing privacy settings to ensure a secure experience.

Fine when it works. However it often takes 25 tries to get my show to stream. For some reason other channels start up fine. Almost like it's programmed to make a certain cable news channel unreachable. If you can put up with the frustration getting it started it does usually work fine after that. It is annoying I can't do anything else on my phone while using this app or it stops streaming. Other apps like YouTube multi task just fine. Still disappointed I can't watch a recording from the DVR.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! My cell phone and tablet are useless. My phone shuts down at random, sometimes without notice. Others times, it stops in the middle of using any other given app. My tablet will not turn on. I uninstalled the app on my phone, but the damage is already done... This app really did detrimental damage. Next steps will be to go my cell service provider. If that does not work, last resort to factory reset...

And.... Still not working. Freezing up just as it was. It's completely useless. How's the repairs going?... Still not working, still freezing up over and over and over and over. 4/8/26 - App is still terrible at resuming play, particularly compared to basically every other streaming app. Also, picture in picture never works even though I selected to allow PIP in permissions.

It says you can watch TV on your laptop or computer. From the website: "It's easy to stream TV anytime, anywhere on your laptop or computer." It's the first sentence on the page... but YOU CAN'T. I can't even get the guide to show up to see what channels are available (I understand some channels aren't not available online), I see only what I have purchased. No channel line up, no DVR, no OnDemand option. The website is a lie. The chat bot was useless and the live agent wasn't helpful. So disappointing.

For all those who keep saying it's pointless to use at home... not all rooms in my house have cable (older home). So I use it on a tablet oriented landscape on a stand which makes for a mini TV in rooms without cable. But as far as the app, yeah it's slow to load. Even on a modern device with WiFi 5 (ac) @ 300+ mb/s on a 1 Gbp/s LAN. It's not my connection, it has to load the channel list/guide at startup and everytime you want to change the channel, which makes it kinda frustrating to use.
