4.6 The "DIRECTV: TV & Movie Streaming" app is a powerhouse for entertainment enthusiasts, offering a plethora of features that cater to diverse viewing preferences. Here are some of the standout highlights that make this app a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their streaming experience:
My experience with the "DIRECTV: TV & Movie Streaming" app has been nothing short of transformative. I often find myself using the app during my daily commute. With the subway being notoriously unreliable, I’ve turned to the app to catch up on my favorite shows. On weekends, I use it to host movie nights with friends, where we can all vote on what to watch from the extensive library. Additionally, during family gatherings, I’ve found it incredibly useful to stream live sports events, ensuring everyone stays entertained and engaged.
The user interface of the "DIRECTV: TV & Movie Streaming" app is sleek and intuitive. Navigating through the app feels seamless, with well-organized categories that make finding content a breeze. The loading times are impressively quick, and I’ve rarely encountered buffering issues, even when streaming in high definition. The feature workflow is straightforward; I can easily switch between live TV and on-demand content without any hassle. Overall, my feelings after using the app are overwhelmingly positive. It has become an essential part of my entertainment routine, providing me with a reliable source of content that fits my lifestyle.
The pricing structure for the "DIRECTV: TV & Movie Streaming" app is competitive, offering various packages to suit different needs. While there are options for basic plans, I opted for a mid-tier package that includes a mix of live channels and on-demand content. The value for money is evident, especially considering the extensive library and features available. Additionally, there are often promotional offers that make it even more appealing for new users.
Updates for the "DIRECTV: TV & Movie Streaming" app are frequent, ensuring that users benefit from the latest features and improvements. I’ve noticed enhancements in the app’s performance and user interface with each update, which keeps the experience fresh. Customer support is also commendable; I had a minor issue with my account, and the support team was responsive and helpful, resolving my query in no time. This level of support adds to my overall satisfaction with the app.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and the "DIRECTV: TV & Movie Streaming" app does not disappoint. Available on both the App Store and Google Play, the app is regularly updated to address any security vulnerabilities. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard for streaming services. However, I appreciate that the app has clear privacy policies outlining how my data is used and protected.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I noticed minimal intrusive advertising, which is a relief. The app does track viewing habits to provide personalized recommendations, but this is done transparently, and users can manage their privacy settings easily. Overall, I feel secure using the "DIRECTV: TV & Movie Streaming" app, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

This is the only streaming app that freezes up, takes forever to load, and no it's not my wifi. I replaced my roku and that didn't help either. You've also raised my bill 3 times in a year and a half. If it goes up again in September, I will probably cancel it. I'm on SSI and can't afford anymore that what I'm paying now. Also when a sportings event runs over the recorded time, it deletes it, instead of adding time to it.

I've used this app for at least 6 years now, the fact that we don't have the ability to exit app and have a floating video to continue watching is obscene. I've used a Samsung Galaxy fold for that entire timeframe, and now have the trifold, which is legitimately a tablet, and I still can't access without being in full screen OR using the multitasking capability but it never scales appropriately on the fly and cuts off half the picture. Honestly, do better, this has gone on for far too long

So many commercials you forget what you are watching. This includes 2 minute "we'll be back" segments of dead air. We frequently watch a lot of antenna tv (which can be just as bad for commercials) because there is more variety in what is airing. Used to watch Pluto too, but they have limited scope and repeat adnauseum. No cable is truly good but it's worse when you pay for it but get served commercials rather than programs.

I can't wait for my military son to come home and set-up a new service for me with something other than my DirecTV account. DirecTV has really screwed up too many things to mention. Also, every new software update they download changes good things to bad without proper vetting to see if the changes work. I'm a long-time customer for a total of 20 or so years. I give-up trying to work with them. I was recently charged $250 for streaming service I never used or wanted, with no refund.

Surprise! Updates make it worse. Does not coordinate with the television. The communication between the phone app and the TV is even worse than before. Recordings on one don't show on the other and vice a versa. Even more difficult to navigate now. Not user-friendly at all. Honestly there are times when you don't think an app can get worse...well, DirecTV you've done it.
