4.0 DistroTV - Live TV & Movies is a streaming platform that has quickly gained traction among users looking for a diverse range of content. Here are some of its standout features:
My experience with DistroTV has been nothing short of delightful. I often find myself using the app during different parts of my day. For instance, in the mornings, I like to catch up on the latest news while sipping my coffee. DistroTV’s live news channels provide a perfect backdrop to my breakfast routine. On weekends, I host movie nights with friends, and DistroTV’s extensive library allows us to choose from a variety of genres, ensuring everyone finds something they enjoy. Just last Saturday, we settled on a classic comedy that had everyone laughing, and the streaming quality was fantastic, with no buffering interruptions.
The user interface of DistroTV is sleek and straightforward, making it easy for anyone to navigate. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that showcases featured content and categories. The workflow is seamless; I can quickly switch between live TV and on-demand movies without any hassle. The performance has been impressive as well; I’ve experienced minimal lag, even during peak usage times. Overall, my feelings after using the app are overwhelmingly positive. It feels like a well-thought-out platform that prioritizes user experience, and I appreciate the effort that has gone into making it accessible and enjoyable.
One of the best aspects of DistroTV is that it is completely free to use. There are no hidden fees or subscription costs, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious users like myself. While there are ads, they are not overly intrusive, allowing me to enjoy my content without constant interruptions. This free access makes it an attractive option for anyone looking to explore a variety of entertainment without financial commitment.
DistroTV regularly updates its content library, ensuring that there’s always something new to watch. I’ve noticed that they frequently add new channels and movies, which keeps the experience fresh. In terms of support, the app provides a help section that addresses common issues and questions. I reached out once regarding a minor technical glitch, and their customer service was responsive and helpful, which left me feeling valued as a user.
As an American user, security and privacy are always top of mind when using any app, including DistroTV. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which is a relief compared to many other streaming services that demand extensive information.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, DistroTV does display advertisements, but they are not overly aggressive. I appreciate that the app is transparent about its ad-supported model. While some tracking may occur for ad personalization, I have not noticed any invasive practices that compromise my privacy. Overall, I feel comfortable using DistroTV, knowing that my data is handled responsibly.

DistroTV has a great selection of channels. I really like all the music stuff and the wide variety of movies. I watch it mostly on my lap top, but it's on Roku and you can download it to your phone too. The sports stuff is pretty good too. There's a TON of shows on demand, but I haven't really looked at much of those. My only wish is that they had more animation or anime- I watch a lot of animation online when I can. Download DistroTV I think you will really like it. Also, its the only place to see Kaloopy these days.

Edit: the app works better and it has more variety of channels. A good alternative to YouTube and a place to look for foreign content. The only reason that I am hesitant to give a 5 star rating is that the Indian and Arab channels for the most part don't have options for subtitles. Only the two Bollywood channels have English subtitles. It would be nice if that option was programmed because personally I an developing a taste for Arab and Indian content

The selection is minimal at best. And sometimes he channels don't connect. Alee+ is not connecting, for instance. There is no diversity of thought in terms of their news programming, which tends to beyond be on the conservative side. No mainstream offering outside of Newsy. Sports has also lacking, again nothing really mainstream. I'm assuming this is a new service, so one should give it time, but if you're thinking of dropping Pluto TV for this, wait a bit.

Not exactly "live tv". Although the premise behind the app is is very clever, it lacks the actual "live" part of "live tv". I turned to 3 different news channels and all of the content was easily 2-3+ weeks old. I turn on that same channel on cable and it's not even the same topics or program. Not sure what might cause such a delay, but once that is fixed I'll be sure to update my rating/review. Also, none of the programs have any information on program name or anything.

Extremely Annoyed 😒, the app has an Ad from "The Courier Guy South Africa" which repeats like 7 or 12 times straight in a row. It's driving me 💢 mad 😡. It is extremely forceful marketing and even if I change the program, to a different one, it automatically plays the Ad again, over and over on a different channel.
