3.0 The Epson DocumentScan app is a powerful tool designed to streamline the process of scanning documents directly from your mobile device. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it caters to both personal and professional needs. Here are some of the standout features that make this app a must-have for anyone looking to digitize their documents:
As someone who juggles multiple responsibilities, I often find myself in situations where I need to digitize documents quickly. One of the most common scenarios is during business meetings. Instead of carrying around a pile of handouts, I use the Epson DocumentScan app to capture everything on the spot. This not only saves space in my bag but also allows me to share the documents with my team instantly. Additionally, I frequently scan receipts for expense reports. The app makes it easy to keep track of my spending without cluttering my wallet with paper.
The user interface of the Epson DocumentScan app is intuitive and straightforward. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The scanning process is seamless; I simply align the document within the frame, and the app automatically captures the image. The workflow is efficient, allowing me to scan, edit, and save documents in just a few taps. Performance-wise, the app is quick and responsive, with minimal lag during scanning or uploading. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, as the app has significantly simplified my document management tasks.
Epson DocumentScan is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users looking for a cost-effective solution for document scanning. While there are premium features available, the basic functionalities are more than sufficient for everyday use. This makes it an attractive option for both casual users and professionals who need reliable scanning capabilities without breaking the bank.
The app receives regular updates, which is crucial for maintaining performance and security. I appreciate that Epson actively listens to user feedback and implements changes accordingly. The support resources available through the app are also commendable. I found the FAQ section helpful, and when I had a specific question, the customer support team responded promptly, providing me with the assistance I needed.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that handles sensitive documents. Epson DocumentScan is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. Upon registration, the app requires minimal personal data, which is a relief for privacy-conscious users like myself. I was only asked for basic information, and there were no intrusive ads or tracking behavior that could compromise my data. The app's privacy policy is transparent, outlining how my information is used and stored, which further enhances my trust in the application.

This app is terrible, constantly freesing and unable to connect to registered scanners. I am a computer engineering student and typically very tech savy, it took me 20 minutes to scan one document because the app would not connect and if it did, it wouldnt scan or save a scanned document without crashing. The scanner itself is very useful and it would be amazing if this app did what it was supposed to do.

Don't get an Epson scanner. They are complete trash, the software is so bad it would be funny if I didn't need to use it for work. I'll never buy an Epson product again. The app rarely works even when my phone is connected. The scanner refuses to do anything if there's ever a misfeed and you're forced to turn it off and lose all your data, on computer and mobile. What a disaster.

This about app not scanner. App is garbage. Why do I need location turned on to access my scanner sitting right here? If you don't comply, app will close. Also, there's no auto-backup or sync, so when someone steals your phone, all your docs are gone with it. When you search for app, even though it's call "Epson", it's not there; it's under "Scan". Those are main complaints that make a fine scanner problematic because of a garbage app.

Have had the scanner for over a year and have used it maybe 5 times because it will not connect to my phone. Being a mobile notary I need a reliable scanner but this is not it causing me to have to drive all the way back home to scan the documents before dropping them to FedEx. I try each time, I have uninstalled re-installed, re tried the connections, everything and it never works other than the random 5 times it decided it wants to.

1. The app doesn't allow to scan for the maximum DPI available for the scaner, as it does when using the scanner on windows. 2. The app doesn't allow you choose a folder from a cloud service (OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox, etc). 2. But the worst is that after every scan and file save, if I want to scan a different document (e.g. 'Scan New') to put in an different PDF file, the app for some reason was designed to search for scanners again.
