4.9 The Eventbrite app is a powerful tool for anyone looking to discover, create, or manage events. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it caters to both event-goers and organizers alike. Here are some of the core features that make the Eventbrite app stand out:
My journey with the Eventbrite app began when I was looking for something fun to do over the weekend. I opened the app and was immediately greeted with a list of events happening in my area. From food festivals to live music, the options were endless. I decided to check out a local art fair, which I found through the app's intuitive search feature. The ability to filter events by category and date made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for.
Another scenario where the Eventbrite app proved invaluable was during a recent work conference. As an organizer, I used the app to manage registrations and ticket sales. The real-time updates allowed me to keep track of attendees and make necessary adjustments on the fly. It was a lifesaver, especially when I needed to send out last-minute notifications to participants.
The user interface of the Eventbrite app is sleek and modern, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that showcased upcoming events in my area. The search functionality is robust, allowing me to filter by date, category, and even price range. I found the workflow to be intuitive; for instance, purchasing tickets was straightforward, requiring only a few taps. The app's performance was smooth, with no lag or crashes during my usage, which is crucial when you're trying to secure tickets for popular events.
Overall, my experience with the Eventbrite app has been overwhelmingly positive. It feels like a community hub where I can not only find events but also connect with others who share similar interests. The personalized recommendations have introduced me to events I might not have discovered otherwise, enriching my social life significantly.
The Eventbrite app is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for users. While some events may charge a ticket fee, the app itself does not impose any subscription costs. This makes it accessible for anyone looking to explore local happenings without worrying about additional expenses. For event organizers, there are fees associated with ticket sales, but the platform provides various pricing tiers to accommodate different needs.
Eventbrite regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I appreciate that the developers are responsive to user feedback, often implementing suggestions that improve functionality. The support team is also commendable; I had a minor issue with my ticket purchase once, and their customer service was prompt and helpful, resolving my concern within a few hours. This level of support gives me confidence in using the app for future events.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Eventbrite takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name and email address, which is standard for event platforms.
Eventbrite has a clear privacy policy that outlines how they handle user data, which I found reassuring. They do not sell personal information to third parties, and their tracking behavior is limited to improving user experience and event recommendations. I appreciate that they prioritize user privacy while still providing a personalized experience. Overall, I feel secure using the Eventbrite app, knowing that my data is protected and used responsibly.

When it works, it's fine. When it doesn't, it's maddening! There are known issues (complaints on forums like Reddit) with users not being able to complete registrations on free events (it will say "Payment Declined" when payments aren't necessary). Lots of bugs (across all platforms and browsers!). Horrible and INEXCUSABLE for a company whose annual revenue in 2024 was approximately $325.1 million (USD). Fix the bugs and test it for quality assurance after major upgrades.

This USE TO work well. I tried to purchase tickets in the past and they're never in the history. I was trying to purchase tickets today and after charging me 3x, the app kept asking me to place a valid email where my last name is supposed to be displayed. This is so annoying and a waste of time. I tried to update the app but I didnt need to. I used different emails and still nothing. Your chat bot suggested I call the event organizer. Who has time for all of that? SMH..

One of the worst search functions I've ever used. I will type certain things in and it spends 20 minutes loading. Aside from that, it works okay- but gets clogged up by too many online classes and speed dating events unless you restrict to a city. Also impossible to search nearby locations all at one time, or to search for certain types of event across locations. Finally, I can't seem to search for a specific organizer if there are no upcoming events for them or they are outside of my city.

Way too slow, sluggish and buggy. Takes 30s - 1 min to load from the event page to choose tickets to register. Event organizer info keeps 'vanishing' from the event view. When it loads at times, there is no way to *block* an organizer; those who spam listing events for multiple consecutive days just to show up in the search results even though the actual event dates are different. These options may be possible on the website, but obviously not in the app despite using the latest version.

when changing the font size on your phone and returning to the app, or when reading the terms of service, the app goes back to the home page and you lose your progress for filled out fields, and if you were in the middle of buying tickets, it still thinks you're in that process and you'll have to wait for the countdown timer in the background that's holding those seats while you would normally be able to continue filling out the fields, but it doesn't realize it already kicked you out.
