3.6 Evernote is a powerful note-taking and organization tool that has become a staple for many users looking to streamline their thoughts and tasks. Here are some of its standout features:
Evernote has seamlessly integrated into various aspects of my daily life. For instance, during my college years, I used it to take lecture notes, which I could easily organize by subject. I would create separate notebooks for each class, and after each lecture, I would type up my notes and add any additional thoughts or resources I found online. This method not only kept my notes organized but also made studying for exams much more manageable.
In my professional life, Evernote has become my go-to tool for project management. I often find myself in brainstorming sessions where ideas are thrown around rapidly. I use Evernote to jot down these ideas in real-time, creating a living document that evolves as the project progresses. The ability to share these notes with my team has fostered collaboration and ensured everyone is on the same page.
The user interface of Evernote is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through my notes and notebooks. The layout is straightforward, with a sidebar that allows quick access to all my notebooks and tags. I appreciate how the app prioritizes usability, ensuring that I can focus on my thoughts rather than getting lost in complicated menus.
Feature workflow is smooth; creating a new note is as simple as clicking a button, and I can easily format my text, add images, or even attach files. The performance is generally reliable, with quick loading times and minimal lag, even when I have a large number of notes stored. Overall, my experience with Evernote has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has significantly enhanced my productivity and organization.
Evernote offers a free version that provides a solid foundation for basic note-taking and organization. However, for those who require more advanced features, such as increased storage and offline access, the Premium plan is available at a reasonable monthly fee. I opted for the Premium version, and the additional features have proven to be worth the investment, especially for my extensive note-taking needs.
Evernote frequently updates its app to enhance functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed improvements in the search feature and the overall speed of the app over time. The support team is responsive, and I’ve had a positive experience when reaching out for assistance. They provide helpful resources and a comprehensive FAQ section on their website, making it easy to find solutions to common issues.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Evernote takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard for most apps, but I appreciate that Evernote has a clear privacy policy outlining how my data is used and protected.
Importantly, Evernote does not display ads, which is a relief for users who are concerned about tracking behavior. They focus on providing a clean user experience without the distraction of advertisements. Additionally, Evernote employs encryption to protect user data, which adds an extra layer of security. Overall, I feel confident using Evernote, knowing that my notes and personal information are safeguarded.

update. I've Loved this app for years, it was my go-to for everything. now it's completely unstable, locks me out over and over, I have to uninstall and reinstall the app in order to be able to open my notes. very disappointed in the changes, sad not to have this great tool available anymore. can't recommend it anymore. Works great, and all my information is safe even if my phone is broken and must be replaced. This app has been a huge help.

Free Version No Longer Useable. Evernote used to be the best note app. I relied on it for years. Then they limited the free version to 50 notes. Well, OK. I still kept using it even though that was annoying. But now they have these lonnng ads pop up every time I open it. Note-taking has to be a quickly accessible. That's the nature of notes vs full documents. Unfortunately I have to leave Evernote now. The lonnng ads simply make the free version unusable. I'm going to try Google Keep now.

Transitioning a free (with paid upgrades) app to fully paid, locking access to my notes until I signed up for a paid plan is really bad. Luckily I only had a few notes I cared about, which I could copy/paste out during the free trial. No easy way to export! Cancelled the trial as soon as I was done and will be uninstalling. I had been using it since 2012.

Update: that email address returned with a response to NOT submit requests through there. I've submitted 3 support requests already Where is my account?!?!?! I just logged in and EVERYTHING was deleted???? no notice, no nothing, just gone. I had nearly 20 years worth of notes in there No, it's not a different account, no I don't have multiple accounts. I submitted a service request, but this is ridiculous. Will you be able to return all my notes and notebooks to me???

Popups trying to get you to subscribe to whatever stupid pay service they're pushing often don't have X buttons to exit out. It's possible to get them to close, but so so annoying. And it happens basically every time you open the app. I'm ready to uninstall, there have to be better options out there. All I want is to keep notes on my phone. I could probably just use a Google doc and it would be a much better experience.
