I love Google Maps, but occasionally it does give me the wrong directions. For example, when it says "turn right", I really should have turned left. Then I get lost, it's really frustrating. It happens whether it's cloudy or raing, or even during clear blue skies!! Also, sometimes it gives me longer routes to my destination. If that happens and I am familiar with the area, I just turn Maps off and use my knowledge of the shorter route and go that way.

I was looking for a better GPS app, and I decided to give this one a try. It's a good thing that my hubby's GPS was going, too, because this one was directing us to a place almost 2 hours away from our destination. That would have been a disaster! The long ad in the beginning is a hassle, too, when you need an directions asap. Uninstalling.

wanted to try to find another Waze-like app. This sounds great, but I could never get the app to open. It just kept telling me give it permission to my contact list. Why does a Direction-Mapping App need access to my contact list? It should just need phone, GPS, and maybe notifications. plus, WOW - lots of commercials...AND I never got the app to open.

It does everything my Garmin did and a little bit more. If you have a decent internet it's really good, every so often you'll get directions a tad off, otherwise it's very good. There's not much in the way of configuration, you can't adjust or change the voice and the default is robotic and un-inventive, TBH I have had passengers whom have asked me to turn the app off just because of the voice. You do have a handful of configuration options, Public Transit, Walk, Auto... Tolls, etc.

It asks permission to my pictures, apps, calendar, contacts, and so many other private locations and since I denied it 3 times, the app has frozen where I can't use it...at all! Google maps and other maps and GPS apps don't ask that many permissions. There were more to list but since I was cut off. I was unable to go back in to see them. Until this is fixed, no thank you!
