4.5 Grubhub: Food Delivery is not just another food delivery app; it’s a comprehensive platform that connects users with their favorite local restaurants. Here are some of the standout features that make Grubhub a go-to choice for food lovers:
As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling work commitments and personal life, which leaves little time for cooking. Grubhub has become my go-to solution for those hectic days when I need a quick meal without the hassle of dining out. For instance, after a long day at the office, I often use Grubhub to order dinner while I’m still at my desk. The app allows me to browse through various cuisines, and I can place my order in just a few taps. Additionally, on weekends, when I host friends for game nights, Grubhub makes it easy to order a variety of dishes that cater to everyone’s tastes, ensuring that no one goes hungry.
The user interface of Grubhub is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that showcases nearby restaurants and popular dishes. The search function is efficient, allowing me to filter by cuisine, dietary restrictions, and even delivery time. I appreciate how the app remembers my previous orders, making reordering a breeze. The performance is generally smooth, with minimal lag, even during peak hours. I’ve had a few instances where the app experienced minor glitches, but they were quickly resolved. Overall, my experience has been positive, and I feel confident using Grubhub for my food delivery needs.
Grubhub’s pricing is competitive, with delivery fees that vary based on the restaurant and distance. While some restaurants offer free delivery, others may charge a small fee. I’ve found that the app often provides promotional codes and discounts, which can significantly reduce the total cost of my orders. Additionally, the option to tip the delivery driver through the app is convenient, allowing me to show appreciation without needing cash on hand.
Grubhub regularly updates its app to enhance user experience and introduce new features. I’ve noticed improvements in the order tracking system and the addition of new restaurants in my area. Customer support is readily available through the app, and I’ve had to reach out once regarding a missing item in my order. The response was prompt, and the issue was resolved quickly, which left me feeling valued as a customer.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that handles personal and payment information. Grubhub is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, including my name, address, and payment details. I appreciate that Grubhub uses encryption to protect this sensitive data.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I’ve noticed that Grubhub does use targeted advertising based on my preferences and order history. While this can enhance my experience by showing me relevant deals, I am mindful of my privacy. Fortunately, the app provides options to manage my privacy settings, allowing me to control how my data is used. Overall, I feel secure using Grubhub, knowing that they prioritize user privacy and data protection.

I'm going out of my way to write this. I had an order recently that got miss delivered. No picture for the order just a red screen. I issued my request of didn't receive food and wanted redeliver. Got instant credit instead. I was fine with it, but then I tried to order again today. I'm exhausted from the hassle. I tried to use my credit on 4 different stores and got one message. "Sorry we cant combine two or more payment methods." Try doordash instead never any issue like this.

The app isn't the issue it's the service itself. They need to update their system to what DD uses or something similar. They are so slow it takes 2 hrs to get an order from a place that's 10 minutes away. Yeah I can get it myself but not the point. I'm not always able to get out and I'm willing to pay for it to be delivered to me and I actually tip well. Drivers get lost or take weird ways to get to my house and it takes them longer. Just annoying. They don't care which is why I'm cancelling.

I keep getting an error page when I click "help" or "extra tip". I had a fantastic, kind driver, and I wanted to toss him an extra $5, and I can't. Deleted the app, reinstalled, force stopped, cleared cache, tried on wifi, tried on cellular. I've got a Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Amazon only makes eleven zillion dollars a day, so I'm thinking a working app shouldn't be too high an expectation, but here we are. I took a screen recording, can a dev reach out? I'm mad at Bezos, not you.

Great app for ordering pickup. We live in a rural town and shop in a larger (rural) town. It's nice to be able to place an order at one of dozens of restaurants as we wrap up shopping and then take it home to eat. The app is pretty easy to use and customer service is solid. I do wish it kept a longer order history, but the only real complaint is that the app really struggles with accessing and distinguishing different locations of a franchise in the same town.

after 3 poor customer service experiences, I'm done with this app and membership to gh. they won't refund your order to the original payment method and will just give a credit if something goes wrong with it.The savings they claim to give you for being a member are a lie because they add a ton of fees at the end of your order andthey up the prices of the menu items for stores so you're paying more than you should. I will definitely cancel my membership and this app today.
