3.8 Hootsuite: Schedule Posts is a powerful tool designed to streamline social media management for individuals and businesses alike. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their online presence:
As a freelance social media manager, I juggle multiple clients, each with unique branding and posting needs. Hootsuite has become my go-to app for managing these diverse accounts. For example, I often use it to schedule posts for a local coffee shop, ensuring that their promotions and events are highlighted at peak engagement times. Additionally, I manage a lifestyle blog where I curate content that aligns with current trends. Hootsuite allows me to plan and schedule posts in advance, freeing up my time to focus on content creation and engagement with my audience.
The user interface of Hootsuite is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for both beginners and seasoned social media managers to navigate. Upon logging in, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays all my scheduled posts and analytics at a glance. The workflow for scheduling a post is straightforward: I simply select the platform, compose my message, add images or links, and choose the date and time for publication. The performance of the app is generally smooth, with minimal lag, even when managing multiple accounts. Overall, my experience has been positive; Hootsuite has significantly improved my efficiency and effectiveness in managing social media content.
Hootsuite offers a variety of pricing plans to cater to different needs, ranging from a free version with limited features to premium plans that unlock advanced functionalities. The Pro plan, which I currently use, is reasonably priced and provides access to multiple social profiles, analytics, and scheduling tools. For businesses looking for team collaboration features, the Business plan is a worthwhile investment, especially considering the time and effort saved in managing social media accounts.
Hootsuite regularly updates its app to introduce new features and improve user experience. I appreciate the timely updates that often include enhancements based on user feedback. The support team is responsive and helpful; I once encountered a minor issue with scheduling, and their customer service resolved it quickly through live chat. Additionally, the extensive knowledge base and tutorials available on their website have been invaluable in helping me maximize the app’s potential.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, especially one that manages social media accounts. Hootsuite is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that users can download it from trusted sources. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard for most apps. Hootsuite has a clear privacy policy that outlines how they handle user data, which I found reassuring.
Importantly, Hootsuite does not bombard users with ads, which enhances the overall experience. However, it does track user behavior to improve its services and provide personalized content suggestions. This tracking is done in compliance with privacy regulations, and users can manage their privacy settings within the app. Overall, I feel confident using Hootsuite, knowing that my data is handled responsibly while I focus on growing my social media presence.

Terrible. It took forever and multiple password changes to link my social media accounts. In less than 24 hours I lost access to a profile. The set up somehow chose my old, original, not used in decades email and now that I can't log in to the desktop, or do password recovery. Assistance said they fixed a glitch but I am still unable to log in to my account to delete it, which is not an option thru the app even though the "help" section says it is.

Best app! I have not posted to Instagram because I am blocked out from using other apps that were bad. I've been using this for FB and Linked In, and it's worked flawlessly. I did link my Instagram account with no real issue. If it tells you "wrong password", open Instagram and see if you received a notification about a strange login. Click "it was me", then go back and try again. I love the different scheduling options, and you can post to three different social media accounts for free.

I've used Hootsuite for years. I don't see many issues in the desktop version but the App update is terrible! Issues ever since. Accounts were disconnected, it was a hassle getting them linked back in. Scheduled posts are getting errors. Now, I can't access my Dropbox any longer, which houses ALL of my photos, graphics and content I post to social media. I'm back to using my desktop version only and have deemed this app useless for me. I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times,no luck!

It used to work fine, but that was it. I used it primarily to copy text from my posts to make it easier to edit, but it's photo sharing was so-so, and once they made it literally impossible to save your past post remarks to your clipboard, it lost me a little. The final nail in the coffin was how it never remembers my Instagram anymore, now it needs to "reconnect" every time. I have had to log into and verify on this "post managment" app more times in ONE DAY than I have to for IG in a year.

Used to love the app. Now I can't login. I have multiple social media profiles and it always defaults to the wrong one. I logout of all but the one I want to connect, but it just cycles back to the login screen. Never launches. I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times. I've restarted my device. The app is useless. It's been a problem for weeks. Considering canceling my subscription altogether. I can't always be at my desktop when I need to post. I need an app that will work.
