4.8 "Map My Run GPS Running Tracker" is a powerful tool for runners and fitness enthusiasts alike. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, it has become an essential part of my running routine. Here are some of the standout features that make this app a must-have:
As an avid runner, I use "Map My Run GPS Running Tracker" in various scenarios. Whether I’m training for a marathon or just enjoying a leisurely jog in the park, this app is always by my side. On weekdays, I often squeeze in a quick run during my lunch break. The app allows me to track my distance and pace efficiently, ensuring I make the most of my limited time. On weekends, I love to explore new trails, and the GPS tracking feature gives me the confidence to venture off the beaten path without fear of losing my way. Additionally, I use the app to log my runs and monitor my progress over time, which has been instrumental in helping me achieve my fitness goals.
The user interface of "Map My Run GPS Running Tracker" is intuitive and easy to navigate. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean dashboard that displays my recent activities and quick access to start a new run. The feature workflow is seamless; I can easily switch between tracking my run, viewing my workout history, and accessing my personalized training plans. Performance-wise, the app runs smoothly without any lag, even when I’m in the middle of a run. I appreciate the detailed statistics it provides post-run, including splits and elevation changes, which help me analyze my performance. Overall, my experience with the app has been overwhelmingly positive, as it not only tracks my runs but also motivates me to push my limits.
"Map My Run GPS Running Tracker" offers a free version with essential features, which is great for casual users. However, for those looking for advanced features like personalized coaching, heart rate tracking, and ad-free usage, there’s a premium subscription available. The premium plan is reasonably priced, and I found it worth the investment, especially as I train for longer races and want to optimize my performance.
The app is regularly updated, which is a significant plus. I’ve noticed improvements in functionality and new features being added over time, keeping the app fresh and relevant. Customer support is also commendable; I had a minor issue with syncing my data, and the support team responded promptly with a solution. Their commitment to user satisfaction is evident, making me feel valued as a user.
When it comes to security and privacy, "Map My Run GPS Running Tracker" takes user concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a level of credibility and security. During registration, I was required to provide basic personal information, but I appreciated that the app allows me to control what data I share. There are no intrusive ads, which is a relief, and I haven’t noticed any aggressive tracking behavior. The app does collect data to improve user experience, but it’s done transparently, and I feel comfortable using it knowing that my information is handled responsibly. Overall, I believe "Map My Run GPS Running Tracker" prioritizes user privacy while providing a valuable service to its community of runners.

works well, tracks my distance, does what it's supposed to and doesn't annoy me with constant ads // update: didn't track my location correctly this last time. That's kind of the app's whole thing, so if that doesn't work, then it's basically just a cumbersome stopwatch. // new update: guess it was just a one time hiccup, tracking has been working swimmingly since then.

The app and platform was great while it worked. Upon renewal, I can't log in. I requested to reset password. The reset password request never shows in any inboxes. Every time I reach out, they don't read the actual email. They just send a generic reply. I'd like my $40 refunded since it's been weeks since I renewed and I still can't log in.

2026: Everything still true! 2021: I use it for walking not running. That's because the auto start-and-stop feature has been discontinued on the walking version. I like that it gives you updates on your distance and time and pace. I can even stop at a coffee shop and spend an hour or two there and it picks up immediately when I begin again. I use it w/ headphones so it keeps me apprised of my workout. I also like the fact that the map it creates allows me to remember exactly where I walked.

Used to love it, now there's a bug that won't go away. I wish I could upload a picture to show you. I'll turn the app on and go for my walk. Often it'll work just fine. Other times it'll start good and then when I go to push stop, my stats are crazy - no miles walked, (I walked 2), time 14:37.40 (I walked for 45-60 minutes), and calories 75,004,904 (If I burned that many calories I'd be dead). I've removed and reinstalled this app about 3-6 times in the last year and this keeps happening.

The only problem with this app is it will switch the pace units on running activity to mph sometimes when it updates or maybe other reasons. no one at mapmyrun has been able to explain this. I will uninstall reinstall and it may switch me back to minutes per mile. if I ask for help they always say go to settings units, but the only option there is to switch between mile and km. there is no pace units to switch. its strange and wish they would tell me what is going on.
